And let me be clear: I do not claim that Romney is the perfect Conservative (nor does he), only that he is more Conservative than the alternatives of John McCain and Mike Huckabee.
Thompson would be nice. Hunter would be nice. But their chances of winning are fading fast and they may well be done by the end of the month. So, who are you going to trust then? McCain? Huckabee? Or Romney? Most of Conservative talk radio of late is saying Romney. Rush went so far as to speculate that there was a deal between McCain and Huckabee to bring Romney down.
