Marianne Pernold was called by Clinton's campaign ahead of time to go to the coffee shop in Ft. Smith New Hampshire (older woman-democrat). She was invited by Terry Norelli of Hillary's campaign. Questioner thinks that Hillary was sincere because the question was personal. Marianne says that immediately after the crying, Hillary resumed the political face.
"Marianne Pernold tells 630 WMAL's Chris Core she truly believes that Senator Hillary Clinton's emotional response to her question at a meeting in New Hampshire was genuine. Pernold asked Clinton how she managed to keep going during the rough campaign, and Clinton's somewhat-teary response has been credited by some pundits for her victory in the Granite state Tuesday night. Pernold tells 630 WMAL she still voted for Barack Obama, becuase she had attended one of his rallies earlier in the week, and she claims Obama's stirring speech brought HER to tears!"

Why don’t they save the price of a cup of coffee and mail out scripts to the reporters?
To: Poser
I think that the point is that the Clinton machine didn’t have the bloggers examining them the first time around. From the plants to her turning up the lights on “the iron my shirt” guy driving a Hillary bumpersticker laden car, they are going to be caught in their staged events this time around. They are phoney and the MSM isn’t the only medium reporting their made-for-tv skits this time around.
For example, on this thread alone, we now know that the woman who asked the question appeared to be a Jimmy Carter minion. This kind of thing may matter to someone who otherwise would think that a random coffee house patron touched Hillary’s heart.
BTW, aren’t these coffee house-diner events supposed to look spontaneous? The candidate mixing with the people? If they are all set up with supporters ahead of time then they are no different from rallies at democrat headquarters.

I heard that it was a small group (like EIGHT) invited persons. Have your political invitations been covered by the national media and that exclusive an invite?

If something like this is all it takes to win a major primary, then I fear for America’s future.
NH is major in media attention if not in delegates.

Most 10 year old girls practice this PHONY tearful display for daddy with good results.

Bush cries when soldiers die. Hillary cries when she cannot win elections.

BS. this is just a spin to cover up the obviousness of Hillary’s crying in her milk. It was real this time and her sorrow was because, even though she denies it, she saw the polls and she was loosing her birth right to be president and she cries. Period, end of story.

I find hard to decide what disgusts me more, Hillary’s crying jag or the stupidity of the woman who asked her the set up question and then cried over and voted for Obama...it’s truly upsetting that such stupid people actually get to help decide how to steer the ship of state. Bring back the poll tax!
To: Cedric
Yesterday you wrote on another thread,
"These people are masters of the triple-twisting-double ganer-back-flip. And they feast on nice people who take things at face value." If Obama had a double-digit lead - in every poll - the day before the voting, and if the same polling predicted exactly the McCain margin, then please explain how the tears are not a diversion from what seems more likely, fraud.

You can’t really tell from the interview. Marianne was proud that she asked Hillary, “How are YOU doing?”. No one was asking her personal questions and that the intimacy of the question was what brought Hillary to tears. No one was asking her how SHE felt.
Spare me. How many of these libs have ever thought how Bush was doing? How ‘bout Romney? Are his feelings hurt? Is he tired? Oh wait, only libs have feelings (because they have no brains or consciences.)
