I heard that it was a small group (like EIGHT) invited persons. Have your political invitations been covered by the national media and that exclusive an invite?

This is New Hampshire. We have hundreds (thousands?) of similar gatherings. The candidates contact a few donors in the area and the donors bring friends. You can be sure that whenever the TV cameras are around, the candidates aren’t really meeting anyone who isn’t already a supporter.
If I wanted to get a candidate to show up in my living room, all I would have to do is guarantee at least a dozen supporters.
I understand that to the rest of the country, with the exception of Iowa, this sort of thing is unimaginable, but here in New Hampshire it’s normal.
I have met and had conversations with every President since LBJ. Our county Republican party monthly meetings might draw 10-20 people.
