The search for two Albuquerque snowboarders missing since Friday in the Wolf Creek Ski Area has been called off for the day.

Now there could be more problems coming for rescuers as the next storm moves in bringing in more snow.

Sorry I don't post here much and this is vanity. The son of a friend of ours here in Albuquerque is one of two young men who went missing last friday while snowboarding. Our friend's son is Kyle Kerschen. As of last night they have spent 5 nights in the Colorado wilderness and by all accounts were not prepared in any way for an extended stay outdoors.

I just wanted to ask Freepers to say a prayer or two for Kyle and Michael and their families.

FOXNews was showing video of a Blackhawk helo in Colorado lifting two snowboarders into the chopper....

Mentioned they found a weak cell signal and made the call that brought SAR in their direction...

Only saw the footage once about 30 mins ago...
I hope this is "prayers answered" for these young people.

Another man and woman were rescued, but not Kyle and Michael. They are still in need of prayer.

In Colorado, meanwhile, the search resumed for two Albuquerque snowboarders, Michael George and Kyle Kerschen, both 27, who have been missing near Wolf Creek Ski Area in southwestern Colorado since Saturday. Wolf Creek is about 170 miles southwest of Denver.

Holy Father,

Nothing is hidden from Your eyes and You know the exact location of these young men. You also know every need that they have. We acknowledge You as Lord over this situation and confess Your protection over them. Grant them peace and calm, Lord, and show them a way of escape. Direct rescue efforts to them, Father, and may they be returned to their homes and families, to the glory and praise of You, our Mighty God. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayers for Kyle and Michael. We know that they are in your hands Lord. You set up, and you tear down, and by you all things consist. We pray for your mercy and help, and that you return these young men safely to their families.
We know that you see the beginning and the end, and we only see - as through a glass, darkly - an infinitesimally small point. We only know that these young men are missing, and their families are hurting. Our prayers go out to you Lord - who alone is full of mercy and alone can save.
