Racist Democrats is a bit redundant, don't you think?

The Obama phenomenon is too new to get a handle on, especially since right now it’s only the rats who are paying him much attention. I do sense the possibility, though, that with ten months of vigorous face time on TV the silly Obama fad might fade away like...

More like this picture of the Barak Hussein Obama campaign...

This field is just so mediocre

I define mediocrity as not being fully up to the task of governing in a given situation or range of situations. The term related strictly to ability. You here, many of you, seem to define mediocrity as adherence to ideology. One has nothing to do with the other. Romney and Giuliani each have executive experience as does Huckabee and that speaks to their ability (proved) to get the job done. The others have no practical experience running anything and as such their ability is logically called into question.

How about “concerted media push” or “coordinated public relations program” similar to a major product rollout?

When Microsoft put out Win98, even the weathermen were talking about it, and Dean Kaman’s Segway got the same treatment. When DNC chose Kerry over Dean, every single news outlet went along, claiming that his yell was the sign of weirdness. If they had all called it his Battle Cry and used it as an example of his power and leadership, he’d have gone on.

You don’t really see the polls (which are paid for by?) you get reporters telling you what’s in the polls.

“Union thugs, bussed in to vote, vote, vote.”

Apparently, they were bringing in out state renta mobs from colleges to cheer for the Hill. Maybe some of them stayed around to vote a few times.

When we heard about the so called shortage of ballots, it became a sure bet that the votes were fixed so the Hill would win.

Several things do NOT add up. The long lines for the Obama events. Hillary had to bus people in from NY and MA for her events. The highest turnout ever in NH...aagghhhh...... I could go on but I might puke!!!!! Go Fred Go!!!

I tend to agree with the poster's analysis upthread on the independents switching to McCain because they thought Obama was a done-deal. But...if there is vote fraud...

Here's my question: I get how & why you inflate your crowds by bringing in people from other places. But the talk I've heard about bringing in people to vote from other states I don't get. Every time I show up at my precinct to vote they have a roster with my name and address printed on it and I have to verify with a photo id.

When I renew my license the clerk can pull up my current license, as it appears, ugly-mug and all. The mechanism is in place to run rosters which includes a copy of my license photo/address combo for even more complete verification against fake IDs.

If there is MASSIVE vote fraud taking place through bringing in people, how is there NOT some sort of "check-and-balance" like that going on? Certainly if my podunk little piece of dirt can have some modicum of verification other places can too. What do these people do? Take a phone book and assume a name and break out a fake ID by the thousands? Certainly there'd have to be cross-over with the real "Johnny Jones" who shows up to legitimately cast his vote and throw suspicion on things. No?

I was able to catch a little of both Obama’s and Hillary’s speeches last night. The compare and contrast was astounding. Obama's speech was actually amazing to hear, and I am no Obama supporter, but am objective. Obama either memorized his speech entirely or is one of the best extemporaneous public speakers I have ever seen. Hillary, on the other hand, was practically reading her speech from the notes she had behind the podium. Hillary repeatedly and continuously looked down at her notes - it was not impressive. The content of Hillary's speech was boring and disjointed too. The same old blah, blah, blah.

Imho, Obama obviously has more natural intelligence and talent than Clinton. Clinton and her machine do have him beat when it comes to corruption though, so I guess that's what it takes to become a "winner".

“evil was afoot to keep Mrs. Clinton in the race”

It would have been kind of them to let Hillary and her spouse Bill-ze-Bubba in on the supposed plot. They were visibly in a panic, and sure thy were going to lose.

IMHO, it was the Bradley ( Wilder ) effect we just saw in New Hampshire. 7% of the voters lied to pollsters when they said they were going to vote for Obama.

I believe you have misinterpreted my feelings. The meaning of mediocre - as I used it, and as defined in the dictionary is: " average: adequate or acceptable, but not very good". It has nothing to do with neither ideology (as you wrongly supposed I meant) nor executive experience (as you define it).

Clinton had executive experience, for heaven's sake. As have many of the poor performing presidents. It is just that I feel all of the current players are lackluster, average, and even if experienced, not strong enough (IMHO) to govern the country and deal with the continual bickering in Congress, pressure from special interest groups, corporate greed, terrorism, threatening world leaders, etc. No one is shining (yet). No one stands out and grabs the attention. There is no clear front-runner, at least at this time.

Some of them have sparks of creative speaking, and quips that hearten us for a moment, but I haven't felt one of them is solidly on target most of the time. Maybe one of them will erupt into a candidate who can continually inspire us and arouse interest enough to warrant the majority of Americans to have faith in that person and that he will continue to take this country in a sound and profitable direction...while making our enemies feel we have a leader with courage and determination to keep us safe. But I have not seen one candidate with the good mix of all those qualities and experience that this country needs now. Thus, I selected the word mediocre.

It's a good thing you didn't tune in to Fox & Friends this morning. I believe they were trying to drive viewers away. First we had to watch Obama and Mrs. Clinton chat with the Friends. Then they dragged out Madeleine Albright hawking her love letter book to Hillary. And then for the grand finale, they brought out rock star Geraldine Ferraro who states that it wasn’t because Hillary cried that she won.

FRiends, I am glad that Mrs. Clinton took NH. It's going to make Obama fans really mad (how dare Clinton Inc. shatter their dream) which will make her fight dirtier. She will get more cocky and become more shrill on the trail. Bubba will think he's still the king and keep sabotaging her with his big mouth. The Drive-Bys will be all in a tizzy with their love fests. And finally, we can beat her!

Good point. But you’d think the U.S. would have produced a few more qualified conservatives than just those two.

I briefly saw him on TV the other day and his main point was the need for protectionism. He railed against free trade agreements, claiming these were taking American jobs.

Not only is he factually wrong, but free trade is a main tenet of conservative philosophy, which seeks to limit government regulation of the economy.

Obama is a natural, that’s what Peggy Noonan had observed. Evil Hitlery scares me more than Obama. Do we want Waco II, Elian II, Travelgate II, Fostercides? Obama is unknown, his Muzzie background or sympathies all unknown at this point, and that’s in his favor. Bummer this morning.

Maybe he has a chance with the CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN Party, but I’m thinking he’s too far behind in the regular Republican party to catch up.

The only problem with that statement is that the regular republican party (country club liberals) can't win in the general election because the conservatives stay home and do not vote for them. Can we say Dole or Bush I after his wife let it be known she was pro-abortion.

You have 3 groups of people in the Republican party that only vote on their principles and stay home if they are not met....the moral vote, the conservative tax vote and the gun rights vote. Take any part of that equation away and loose a portion of your voters. This whole year has been a perfect example of the stupid party not remembering or caring who their voters are.

The way things are going it looks like this will be the first time since Reagan that I will sit out a presidential election because I am one of those three who votes only on principle not party. There is no way I could ever vote Romney, Guiliani, McCain or Paul.
