“He has to win South Carolina, then win at least a few states on February 5th.
At this point, his best hope is that Huckabee could make a major mistake.”
I guess anything is possible but I really think it’s too late for his campaign to take off. We’ll see. As for Huckabee, my bet is that he doesn’t do so well from here on out. If he wins any more states it will be states with high numbers of evangelicals, and I don’t think he’d take all those. Except for his religion I don’t think there is much difference between that guy and a big government Democrat. A lot of things could happen though. It’s going to be interesting to see how things pan out.

McCain would get crushed by Hillary, if he were the nominee.
No way!

We been had. The polls were all part of the play. Been done before and you know it will be done again. Hollywood writes the Clinton’s scripts.

New Hampshire’s Polling Fiasco
January 09, 2008 12:05 AM
There will be a serious, critical look at the final pre-election polls in the Democratic presidential primary in New Hampshire; that is essential. It is simply unprecedented for so many polls to have been so wrong. We need to know why.
But we need to know it through careful, empirically based analysis. There will be a lot of claims about what happened - about respondents who reputedly lied, about alleged difficulties polling in biracial contests. That may be so. It also may be a smokescreen - a convenient foil for pollsters who’d rather fault their respondents than own up to other possibilities - such as their own failings in sampling and likely voter modeling.

I agree. Not only that, the Clinton machine, if it wins the nomination, revs up to full speed and Mrs. Clinton stands a far better chance of winning in the general election against most of the Rep choices (certainly the front-runners at the moment).
Obama probably won’t win the general election.

I tend to agree. All those who supported the Clinton machine in the 90’s and are playing footsie with Obama (because the Clintons make them sick, secretly) will come running back to mommy and daddy dearest as soon as Mrs. Stalin gets the nomination.
The Clinton machine will be running at high speed.

This is EXACTLY how she won the NY Senate race in 2000.
She ran A MILLION VOTES BEHIND Al Gore in NYC and Buffalo, and had a huge turnout among upstate Republican women after that little bit of theater about feeling "threatened" by Big Bad Rick Lazio invading her "personal space".
Hillary has a huge hidden vote among women.

They push poll, they spin, twist, and lie, they don’t consider people with cell phones, they don’t consider people who don’t answer calls from unkown callers, and they report their “findings” like they are oracles from Mt Olympus. It’s no surprise they’re getting worse and worse over time, and it’s no surprise that people screw with them.

You said what I said. I just added the ‘slobber’ part basically because of the new Christopher Hitchens article about this that Levin was quoting last night. It’s unacceptable to SAY anything against a black candidate, but they can’t make you vote for one, yet. Some would call that latent racism, I’d call it exercising their rights.
For the record, I’d love to find a black or a woman qualified and ready to be The Chief. These two aren’t it.

How could the polls be so wrong? And by that much? I dont get it. I'm sure John Kerry is wondering the same thing about those exit polls in 2004.

When I went to bed last night at about midnight, Fred had about 1% of the republican vote. If that holds true throughout the primary process, I don’t see Fred representing any republican party in the White House.

He practically swapped spit with terry mcauliff. I love it when many of us see this change in fox but some must say we are seeing something we are not seeing. fox has changed and brit has changed too... and it all started when brit’s wife left fox as News Director. It’s true and saying it isn’t does not change that fact.

Good morning FRiend! jv I do not know. He was gushing all over terry mcauliff. fox has changed and has taken a definite left slant. I was so angered when chris wallace and brit were fawning all over mcauliff and hildebeast... I turned off the TV and stayed here on FR until I went to bed. They love the liberal rootie... they love the liberal mcinsane... and they like mitt pretty much. They refuse to utter Thompson’s name... can’t be seen promoting Reaganism you know. I guess I am bitter that I have lost a friend in the old fox news. Now it’s just tits and libs. Sorry, but that is how I see it... and I am not alone.

I believe that but I also believe that obama will beat her in SC and then the dims will be locked in a cage match just like the Republicans are. We will have three liberals and a Conservative battling each other and they will have two uber liberals fighting it out.

Dude... I have eyes and ears and a friend on the other end of the Country called me when chris wallace and brit were gushing love all over terry mcauliff... he was as disgusted as I am. Deny it if you want to... but since brit’s wife left as fox news director... fox is slanting left... and hume is slanting left also. Denying it does not change reality... and hundreds of FReepers mention this each week. We are not delusional... but then I have been watching fox since before cable and DTV/Dish even had the channel. I am qualified to make the statements that I have. I wish you could see the truth.
