Question about Primaries

Posted on 01/08/2008 6:16:28 PM PST by maui_hawaii

Does anyone know where we can get actual poll data on the primaries (not just one of them, but all of them as they happen)?

What I think is we need to look at raw data of both parties combined and look at how many voters voted...

How many voted democrat in general, and how many voted for each candidate.

This will tell us a whole lot. IMO.

Does anyone know where we can find raw information like that?

IE if a million people voted on the democrat side in XYZ state and only 100K voted on the republican side...at the very least it will tell us about the respective party organizations and other things in each state.

The numbers expressed among republicans and democrats are still being showed in percentages...but 35% of 100k is the same as 35% of a million...

Also this isn't telling enough because they are tallying votes along party lines.

I am no expert in primaries so any input will be appreciated.

Actually, if I was living in New Hampshire, I would have called myself an independent and voted for Obama.

Hillary must be stopped, and if I must cross party lines to halt her bid for President, then that is exactly what I would do.

Don’t look to me. I don’t get to vote in my primary until May 6th.

But I’ll be there and pick one of the Republicans on the ballot.

Most Secretarys of State put that data online. If you want to break it down to the precinct level, you usually have to go to the individual county web sites.
