Fred with 1 delegate did well in NH, but Mitt, who still leads the overall delegate count, did poorly? Interesting. But this begs the question of why Fred would ignore a state that, theoretically, he would win (fairly easily-—if Freepers were to be believed). When Rudy ducks IA, he’s “chicken,” but when Fred doesn’t campaign hard in a deep red state, there is some other explanation. Just asking for a little balance here.
Actually Fred did campaign in WY, just not that much. Since WY had almost zero media about the race, I guess Fred decided to contest IA because that’s where the media was. Granted, they still tried to ignore him as much as possible, he did get some exposure from the race. Candidates have to make these determinations when they’re not sitting on large campaign war chests.
