I know exactly why Freepers like Fred-—I like him for the same reasons. But I’m not crazy enough to think he has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning. Nor do I think Mitt or Huck is a conservative. We will NOT have a conservative as our candidate this year, so people better come to terms with that and elect the guy who comes closest.

I want Thompson to win the nomination. But I have watched the debates and watched the man campaign, speeches, interviews, etc.....And I have concluded Fred Thompson really does not want the job.

Does the delay in calling NH on the Dems side mean it’s too close to call? I hope so, because I want Hillary and Obama to keep battling it out as long as possible. I don’t know if I can take the Republicans carving each other up all the way to the convention, while the winning Dem serenely tut tuts and basks in the MSM’s glow from the sidelines.

Closest? I guess that would be Barrack Obama.

And thats series. Conservatives might vote for him in droves.

I don’t think we are quite there- but its getting close. If doesn’t do something exciting in South Carolina so he can raise enough money to make February 5 competitive, it will be over.
