All I know is that if it comes down to Obama vs. McCain, I’ll have to “throw my vote away” and vote for someone else because there’s no way I’ll vote for either of those two. Hopefully it won’t come down to that.

The fact that Fred got ANY votes in NH is amazing. He never expected to get any at all. They don’t seem to like Southerners much.

When it comes to the actual day to day of getting things done in the White House, Mitt is the guy. McCain and Fred aren’t cut out for being executives. Huckabee does the “management by crisis” thing that is very Clinton. I wish people would realize Romney did the best he could in a pathetically lib state.

>>>>>I know what conservatism is.

You haven't proven you know the first thing about conservatism. Obviously. You've been demanding I tell you. LOL

If you trust Fred Thompson, will you trust his most-likely future decision to endorse Mitt Romney? If not, why are you supporting him?

“John McCain may not agree with you on the issues, but you owe him respect.”

He’s garbage.

You haven't proven you know the first thing about conservatism.

The same could be directed back at you since you define conservatism in a way that excludes many that are conservative.

Actually I am not angry with the guy for posting his feelings to the world about Johan McCaniac.

When you post on the Internet expect to have someone or many disagree with what you say.

I do not support Johan McQuig McCaniac AKA Senor Nutty Pecan Tree.

The guy turned his back on on American when we needed him during Shamnesty and he did it in a way that pissed off a lot of COMMON SENSE PATRIOTIC AMERICANS.

I can not support nor will I campaign for anyone who would sell America down the river to satisfy a few rich Arizona and Mexican constituents.

Do I believe McCaniac is a traitor NO WAY, but he is as Hard Headed and stubborn as Bessie the Mule.

But I do say that when 87 percent of Common Sense America was saying no way to Shamnesty and for him to know that and still tell us to go to hell then I say you can not have my one vote.

For those posting on this thread and getting angry when someone disagree with them is just to bad, it is the Internet and that we can not control.

As for McCaniac the supporter needs to notify the mods that they were offended and would the moderator please pull the offended persons panties out of their rather deep crack.

Have a nice day and I am ROFLMAO at the photo.

I’m not the one demanding anything. Clearly, you don’t know the difference between a liberal and a conservative. If you did, you wouldn’t be looking for my help.

If you look at the polls taken on conservative Free Republic, you’d see that Giuliani, Romney, Huckabee and McCain aren’t considered conservatives. Period!

Anyone but McCain, Santorum Says

Former Sen. Rick Santorum has drawn at least one conclusion about the Republican presidential primary field: Anybody but John McCain.

The Pennsylvania Republican, who signed a contract Thursday as a Fox News contributor, said that he has spoken with every GOP candidate except the senator from Arizona but that it’s still too early for him to endorse.

“The only one I wouldn’t support is McCain,” Santorum said during an interview in his office at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, where he is a senior fellow.

“I don’t agree with him on hardly any issues,’’ Santorum said. “I don’t think he has the temperament and leadership ability to move the country in the right direction.”

Responding, McCain spokesman Danny Diaz said McCain was a “well-known and respected conservative.”

Santorum lost his Senate seat last fall in a landslide to Democrat Bob Casey but remains a prominent voice in the conservative movement – a voting bloc in search of a presidential candidate.

Santorum’s critical appraisal of McCain contradicts a seemingly cordial relationship, at least in the last year. McCain had headlined a fundraiser for Santorum, and they co-authored an ethics overhaul proposal.

Over the years, however, Santorum said they have clashed on campaign finance reform, environmental policy, tax cuts, immigration and other issues.

Santorum suggested that McCain also wasn’t as solidly anti-abortion as he would like. “He may be pro-life, but I served with him for 12 years, and I know how pro-life he is,” Santorum said.

Diaz said McCain favors overturning Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion, and has picked up support from other conservative senators.

“He has been a lonely voice for fiscal discipline in the nation’s capital,” Diaz said, “and has fought to protect life and build a strong defense.”

Santorum has spent the last two months building a new life outside of Congress, where he served for 16 years in the House and Senate.

He will begin appearing soon on Fox News shows. He also is writing a book and producing a documentary on a theme he began pressing in the final months of his campaign: the threat of radical Islam on the nation’s security.

He said he’s weighing an offer from The Philadelphia Inquirer to write an op-ed column, and will start his own communications consulting business – but do no lobbying.

“That’s not me,” Santorum said.

Besides, he added, “I want to keep my political options open.”

Clearly, you don’t know the difference between a liberal and a conservative. If you did, you wouldn’t be looking for my help.

You just keep on thinking that.

If you look at the polls taken on conservative Free Republic...

While Free Republic is indeed a conservative site it does not speak for all conservatives nor is it the be all and end all of what is conservatism.
