Ballots, are being sent. What are your thoughts for Props:
91 - Transportation funds, Constitutional Amendment
93 - Limits on legislators Terms in in Office - Constitutional amendment
94, 95, 96 and 97 - Referendum on amendment to Indian gaming
No on everything that doesn’t repeal something.

Indian gaming - yes, take the money and run. A no vote on these compacts will require renegotiation and may not generate additional income.
Provisionally: No on anything that isn’t obviously a cut in goverment power. Gotta read up, of course, before a final decision.
I rarely vote Yes on bonds. I voted Yes on those particular few (not all) of Arnold’s construction bonds WHICH Tom McClintock endorsed, but even those failed.
Vote no on all of them.

Yes on anything that repeals legislative power.
California is in dire straits and Arnold has proved to be nothing more than a Girliman when it comes to protecting the people from the insanity of liberalism.
IIRC, the one about the term limits (which we already have in Calif) mearly mean that the current DEM occupants of offices in the legislature can stay for 12 years, instead of them being term-limited out very soon, based on the old rules. A common ploy in our initiative-style system, they are saying they’re trying to ‘fix’ the term-limits we currently have, when in fact they’re trying to ‘game’ the system to the current office-holders’ benefit.
As far as the Indian gaming ones, I really don’t give a flying @$%^ how much more money the Indian casinos are going to make under the new compacts, as long as they are going to be paying their fair share, especially for roads and other safety services. I did notice that the fine print of the ads against approving those contract was put on by a group funded by Hollywood Racetrack, etc. It seems they’re the ones that are concerned about losing patrons to their racetracks.
I haven’t looked through the sample ballot, nor read the text of the propositions, but I heard an ad on the radio for the amended term limits prop. A teachers union (I think it was the California Teacher’s Association) is for it, which makes me cast a wary eye right from the start.

We do. The proposition is to amend the term limits law in some fashion.
We do. Unfortunately for the lot of leadbutts already in the legislature, they’d have to “retire” and get real jobs. This would re-set term limits and allow them another 12 years, because I believe it doesn’t take into consideration time already served in the legislature.
Which is why the CTA is for it - their lapdogs get another 12 years.
I have not even looked at it officially. So I can’t answer, but I can tell you if it said the following:
Deport all persons in the country illegally and build the fence ASAP! and do away with the whole birthright citizenship the answer would be very easy.
Then I say no.

The Indian gaming propositions are a joke because of the lack of auditing. Right now the state gets to audit the books and make sure everything is fair. If these props pass then the tribes get to pay based on unaudited results = they can report whatever they feel like paying and the state can’t do a thing about it.
