Joe Klein, Time columnist, reports: On January 1, two days before the Iowa caucuses, Obama left a message for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. According to Robert Gibbs, Obama's Communications Director, Rice called back "as we were driving from Sioux City to Council Bluffs on January 1. They talked about the situation and Rice asked Obama to tape a Voice of America message calling for calm." Obama taped the message on January 2, after a rally in Davenport, Iowa.

Klein also reports: In the days since his Iowa victory, Obama has had near-daily conversations with the U.S. Ambassador in Kenya or with opposition leader Raila Odinga. As of late this afternoon, before his rally in Rochester, N.H., Obama was trying to reach Kenyan President Kibaki.

The losing faction has rampaged with rape, arson and murder.
No wonder they are being shut out of power — creatures like that should never be permitted to govern.

My understanding is that Obama is already on good terms with Odinga.
Odinga lost the election.
Odinga is the main cause of the current violence.
Odinga is doing this because he is upset over the election outcome.
So Obama calls him up:
"He called to express grave concern over the election outcome," Lone told The Associated Press.
Muslims are killing Christians in Kenya and Obama calls the instigator and says, "Man, you was robbed! That election was rigged!"
Is that it?

Seems to be a pattern among Democrats or leftists in general. Any election lost by the left musta been rigged.

It’s not unusual for a democrat to demand a recount. What party purportedly won the election, and was there a religious component?

Everybody is conducting foreign policy on their own these days. Whee!
Let's just abolish the State Department.
(.....actually, not a bad idea).

So you are saying that Obama is supporting a Muslim? Hmm, isn’t Obama a protestant? or so he says.

Odinga is of the same tribe as Obama,,the Luos I think.
There is somewhere on Fr and entire history of his father and his involvement with these people. The Taliban are agents of the Luo in the slaughter.
Think about it.

That’s good this man is making too much the show a bit hysterical. He could easily fall in a trap

We can all feel better now because he can claim to have “foreign policy experience” to add to his long, impressive list of accomplishments.

Thanks. That's a good article on this subject.
I've seen the mission statement of Obama's "church" here in the US and it seems clear to me that he worships Africa more than he worships Jesus Christ. How much he ought to be considered a Muslim is not for me to say -- but I think he would be a very dangerous choice as US President.

This is consistent with his church’s declaration that implies they are Africans first, Americans second.

Which state has Obama offered to their refuges? As President Obama would bring 100,000 of the Luos into the U.S. as "refugees", like Clinton did with the Somalis. Then we could look forward to a new wave of honor killings, irate taxi drivers and lawsuits.

Luos are not Muslims. The are predominantly Protestant, with some of the more southern areas being tribal animists.
