Tornado Outbreak in Southwest Missouri

Just had a tornado touch down in Rogers, AR..about 30 miles west of me.

Here in St. Charles County, MO. Lots of thunder, rain, no hail, we are under a tornado watch until 0500hrs

They have just blown over us here in NW Arkansas. I am close to the basement door now.

They just reported a second confirmed fatality. This one was in Green County, MO.

There were serveral in Wisconsin too. The Quincy, IL stations have fog, tornado and flood watches and warnings out all over eastern MO and SE IA.

Midwest Tornadoes Kill 1, Injure Several

MARSHFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A rare January outbreak of tornadoes raked the Midwest on Monday, flattening houses in several states and killing at least one person in Missouri.

In Illinois, about 500 people fled their homes after a reported tornado knocked over rail cars carrying hazardous materials.

A woman was killed in Missouri when a tornado threw her from her mobile home, and at least six people were taken to hospitals by ambulance, said Michael Taylor, fire chief in Marshfield in the southwestern part of the state....

I did not get much sleep last night. The storms were pretty loud and between those and my dog hunkering down in our bed... I am pretty tired.

One storm woke me but it wasn’t too bad. This mornings downpour soaked me and my dogs weren’t thrilled with trying to pee in the rain :)
