Every time a Concerned Local Citizen brings in ordnance it saves Soldiers lives, said Maj. Desmond Bailey, from Wetumpka, Ala., the operations officer for 3-1st Cav. Regt. This demonstrates that more Iraqis are on the side of peace.
Conversely, it demonstrates that more Iraqis are not on the side of the islamic extremists.

You’ve got to love these CLC’s. This is the type of reaction we were hoping to receive back in 2003 when we first went into Iraq. Unfortunately, it took several years to win the locals over. But after being lied to and abused by the government for so many years, it is kind of hard to blame them for being suspicious.
