I agree. Her Narcissistic illness cannot handle any feedback that does not tout her as being the most admired, most "likeable," most intelligent, most electable, most wanted, etc. But it also makes her determined to fight to the bitter end.
Whenever she loses or is challenged in some way she either whines like a child (ala: "They are picking on me because I am a woman"...or like in the debate when she said "That hurts my feelings," ) and/or starts to yell - just ready to have a tantrum and become vicious. The more she is not the clear leader well in advance of the others, the more she will fight. It is her childish, immature, cry-baby, blame everyone else behavior that will be her downfall and will be observed, and will cause her continued defeats. (Geeze, even the Brits have shown they prefer Obama, that must be killing her- since they loved Billy Boy!) But, she will have to keep running even when it is obvious she is not the beloved candidate she believed she was. It is not because she "loves" America, or wants to serve...
The reason: without constant media attention, affection, preference and admiration, and without winning both Toons know there is no where else she can she go! Back to the Senate, yes, but after that term certainly it is Out of sight for them both! (Wonder who holds the mortgage on their NY house???)
Neither of them can stand that prospect. Hillary and Bill fear they will fade into oblivion if she does not win - and neither of the Narcissistic pair can handle that! She will never just drop out...she needs the drug of public attention, the Narcissistic supply of people fawning over her, talking about her, wanting her to speak, etc.
But, consider this: For a Narcissist, even negative comments or contraversies are better than not being important enough to be talked about. It is a weird sense of "attention" that all Narcissists crave and cannot live with without. Positive or negative, they must have attention. A narcissist just turns negativity around in their twisted minds and considers that somehow it means they are still significant and important enough to be discussed. That, in a strange way, still feeds their ego! They must be at the center, even when the center is a target for ridicule and not affection. That is the twisted way they think.
Without being in the spotlight till the bitter end Hillary and Bill will eventually wither on the vine. So she will fignt until the campaign is over. She will never give in and go away gracefully. (She has done nothing "gracefully" her entire life, certainly she will not accept defeat in that manner.) She will fight if only to keep people talking about her and if necessary, she will blame the whole world for her loss!
