The writer started off alright with the observation that Richardson "sounded more whiny than funny" when he spoke at length about his own credentials during Saturday night's debate. But he continues with admiration for King Bill's "commanding presence when addressing foreign policy questions." Unfortunately for Richardson and what is not understood by the reporter in his ivy-covered tower, Richardson is wrong. It has been proven over and over again from Chamberlain in Great Britain (appeasement of Hitler) to Iraq (Richardson's call to pull the troops out NOW!) and now in Pakistan (the PM should step down to allow democracy) that a weak, milquetoast response to dictators and tyranny only postpones and makes harder the action that must eventually be taken to control them.

With Dennis Kucinich out of last nite’s debate, ol’ “Lumpy Rutherford” Richardson was the only bit of comic relief to be found.

Wasn’t he an embarassment? I was embarassed FOR him. All he could do was say he was Gov and Energy Sec and suck up to hillleree. My husband said he would defend her and he did not disappoint. He was a joke. He should not have been there. He wasted valuable time and brought nothing to the table plus...he always looks like he is in PAIN. Take a hike Bill...your time is over.

Every picture I see of Richardson he looks like that comedian from Saturday Night Live. In fact, I’m not sure which is which.

Richardson wants to pull troops from Iraq so swiftly his plan should probably be called an “evacuation” rather than a withdrawal. This screwball idea alone shows that his “foreign policy experience” has taught him nothing about the real world.

The Democrat Fred Thompson equivalent. Their philosophical inversion. But doing the same thing — appealing for attention, but without the funding to be competitive.

Of course, he’s running to be she-who-must-not-be-named’s Veep.

Richardson proves that the glum fat kid who got his books dumped can grow up to be a presidential also-ran.

I have this overwhelming feeling every time I see Richardson on stage that I am watching the SNL spoof on Admiral Stockdale of his own strange and real pronouncement of himself at that first debate so long ago. “Who am I and what am I doing here,” but it just takes all I can do to keep from laughing. Ok, I can’t stop from laughing but it really bothers me so greatly because here is this doofus on stage rambling almost incoherently at times and I’m thinking where is the hook to get him out of there. I’m also embarrassed for him but in addition it makes me angry.
If he can continue to garner the attention he does then where is Duncan Hunter on our side! And where is the attention I’d like to be paid to Thompson? It just goes to show you we are not exactly in control of our party’s nomination unless of course you are the select few that supposedly get a vote.

Richardson got it right -- he DESERVES little respect, or none..
Isn't it amazing - he's claiming superior "Foreign Policy Experience" -- when much of it involved playing Charlie Brown running up on the football held by Lucy (played by that dog eating bastard in North Korea) ---- only to have Lucy lie again and pull the football away from Richardson's "Charlie Brown"...and once again Richardson falls on his abundant ass.

"...that guy from New Mexico in the national spotlight..." He's not even really from New Mexico. He is just a carpetbagger who lived in OLD Mexico, Massachusetts, and Washington, DC, each for longer times than he actually was in New Mexico.
(Cedar Dave knows this.... I type it here for those unaware of the facts.)

While Clinton, Obama, and Edwards all toot their horns about having experience, Richardson is the only one of the lot who had ever run something besides his mouth.

What’s wrong with experience, Bill? It means you’ve been part of the problem.

Spot on RiverRat!
I'm certainly going to miss those of our generation, who had 20 - 20 eye sight, when we are gone.

Bill Richardson doesn’t deserve any respect.
He is little more than a Clinton Buttboy.
