Hillary's Claim: I Wouldn't Have Started Iraq War (what about her authorization to use force?)
TP Election Central ^ | Jan. 06, 2008 | By Eric Kleefeld

During a campaign stop in Nashua, Hillary Clinton might have just stepped on the beehive that has already caused her so much trouble in this campaign. "After 9/11, I would never have taken us to war in Iraq," she said, according to Ben Smith. "I would have stayed focused on Afghanistan because the real threat was coming from there."

Obama spokesman Bill Burton immediately pounced, bringing up Hillary's 2002 vote to authorize the Iraq War: "Hillary Clinton may try to rewrite history, but it's hard to believe she didn't know what would happen after she voted for a resolution with the title "A Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq."

We already know from her 8 years as co-President.

She would have continued to ignore the threat just like her husband did.

Not completely. Every time some negative news was due to be reported about her, she would lob a few cruise missiles at an aspirin factory or empty training camp.

..."After 9/11, I would never have taken us to war in Iraq," she said...

Any rational person would respond to this claim with a robust cry of "BS".

Unfortunately, she is addressing Democrat voters...

Her strategic thinking is non-existent.

Meaning she would be all right if Saddam, Uday, Qusay, and Chemical Ali were still around.

Oh yeah..that’s right(wink)...but I read somewhere today that she wants to start discussions with Pakistan about letting the US ‘guard’ their nukes..That ought to go over well!

This whole thing is now beyond disgusting. Even on our side, they (w/a couple exceptions) all sound like sixth graders running for the student council!

It truly is unfreakingbelievable.

..."After 9/11, I would never have taken us to war in Iraq," she said...

And neither did Bush. We went into Afghanistan. Libya turned over their WMD program too.

Iraq came years later, after we did everything we could to settle things peacefully, while he was ignoring every UN sanction and every US warning.

There's a little problem with that statement. SHe is on record defending her vote to the Code Pinkos- it was something like - "I consulted with a lot of people I trusted before I came to the decision that Sadaam was a danger and needed to be dealt with."

there's audio out there somewhere.

Libs have short memories. Here are the actual filmed and documented sound bites.

It's amazing to me that the RNC & GOP never play this. Oh wait... they're too freakin' dumb to figure this out themselves.

I never thought I'd be grateful for obama. He must be the ultimate useful idiot.

Thanks, bud. Keep up the good work!

And neither did Bush.

Damn straight. Saddam threw down the Iraq gauntlet, Bush picked it up and slapped him in the mouth with it.
