I don’t watch the Oscars. I haven’t in many years. I doubt I will notice the difference.

This puts the pressure exactly where they want it - on the studios - they care about awards shows. The actors will still get the awards they just won’t be there and I don’t give a damn whether they show up or not.

I will boycott too. I would have anyway, because I never watch it, but now I can feel even more smug about it.
To: seanmerc
He has no talent. He has his ‘click’. They all sit it out... What an idiot. Laughable of course but pompous and offensive by any measure of speculation.

If Clooney isn’t there, I just might sit down and watch this year.
To: seanmerc
What will they do when nothing comes of their boycott except to diminish their own public self aggrandizements?
Few outside people are going to be outraged or even give a tinker’s damn.
I’m willing to bet a few Tinseltown execs have long memories...

I’ve been boycotting the Oscars for years. Maybe Clooney will cause them to have a Broke Back.
To: seanmerc
That just means more time with his boyfriend.
