MEDIA ADVISORY, Jan. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pro-life activist Joseph Landry confronted Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani for Giuliani's support of child-killing by abortion in New Hampshire:
Associated Press reports: The Nashua town hall was interrupted by an anti-abortion protester who shouted that "a vote for Rudy is a vote for a child killer." "The blood is on your hands," shouted the man, who identified himself as Joseph Landry, 26, from Florida.
Many other media outlets carried the exchange between Mr. Landry and Mr. Giuliani.
"Joseph Landry's actions are part of an ongoing effort to expose Rudy for who he is -- a supporter of child-killing -- a Democrat in GOP clothing. When the base of the GOP learns who Giuliani is, they will reject him. Our goal is to make sure that happens.
"We will dog Rudy throughout the remaining days in New Hampshire, then begin dogging him in Florida, working to expose his campaign in the Sunshine State, and burying it for good on Super Tuesday." -- Randall Terry, Founder, Operation Rescue.

A regrettable lack of realism on their part, then. If only we could convince people that he supported legal and even publicly-subsidized programs to crush, say, labrador puppies to a bloody pulp.
You are.
That’s not true. Apart from fighting against federal funding of abortions here and oversees, including the Mexico City policy, passing restrictions like the PBA Ban (though overturned, and encouraging funding of abstinence education are real pro-life accomplishents by Rs on the federal level.
Second there is no public consensus that abortion is murder.

Gratefully, the tide is changing. One by one people are coming to see that abortion is the killing of a person.
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

At the first Republican debate in May, Giuliani was alone among the GOP candidates in offering a less-than-robust affirmation when asked whether it would be a good day if the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade ruling.
"It would be OK," Giuliani said. "It would be OK to repeal it."
But, he added: "It would be OK also if a strict constructionist viewed it as precedent" and kept the law intact.
The President has always said that he would not overturn R. v W.
But, he pledged to change hearts and minds so that women did not seek abortion. The President backed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, the prenatal protection act and the born alive act. Most of all, he put 2 justices on the SCOTUS who *can* overturn R. v W.
Rudy thinks abortion is a viable “choice,” without limit.
On the other hand, I’m a bit encouraged that Ted Olsen has worked to assure us that Rudy would nominate Constitutionally Conservative judges.
I thought Bush was responsible for revoking the Fed funding of overseas abortions? Not Fed judges.
He did that right after he was elected.
OK.
I’m not a Rudy supporter. I’m not sure how your post relates to any of my comments.

[[To the best of my knowledge, Hitler, Stalin and Mao never personally killed anyone either.]]
This has to be one of the most ignorant over the top statements I have seen in my years on Free Republic. Are you trying to say Giuliani ordered abortions be performed as these authoritarians who ordered the worst atrocities ever committed against humanity ? Would you care to show such an order that forced unwilling women have abortions ?
This only shows some social conservative ideologues will use the same tactics as the far left and can be just as authoritarian, thus are enemies of freedom.
Conservatism that seeks to dictate is not the true conservatism that this country was founded on, it is authoritarianism in its ugliest form.
And before you scream Giuliani supporter, that I am not, I find his second amendment stance to be very troublesome. but I would vote for him over ANY democrat because the key to the freedom we enjoy is economic conservatism. That is why Huckabee is the most dangerous republican in the field, with his populist/socialist economic message. He is as dangerous to individual freedom as any democrat.
Thanks! That’s precisely the kind of stuff that needs to be put out there, in a major way. A man who supports—or at least opposes a ban on—partial-birth abortion should be called to account for it. Just how many Americans oppose the procedure of partial-birth abortion?
Thank you. I was sure I heard GWB say this years ago.
By making pro-lifers appear reactionary and immature. There are better ways he could have made his point.
GIULIANI: There must be public funding for abortions for poor women. We cannot deny any woman the right to make her own decision about abortion because she lacks resources.

This makes us look stupid....was Rudy KILLING babues?? If not the guy shouldn’t hace accused him of it.
Rootie is a totalitarian babykiller. That is a fact. He promotes taxpayer funded killing of babies. He is evil. Got it?

He favors taxpayer funding of babykilling and is running for President. He is a babykiller.
