The . . . I think it is Sweetwater County in the west part of the state. Home to the thriving metropolis of Evanston — which has a big horse racing track that attracts Utah visitors each summer. I think it is heavily Mormon.
Doesnt look good for Thompson so far.
I think it was expected to be Romney with Thompson securing a few.. Look for the rural to be more of Thompson’s supporters... Just my guess.
Truth in advertising. Despite his support of Aristide, I rather like Fred. He woudl by my second choice among the GOP candidates. Ron Paul is my favorite. I was just pointing out the double standard of those who are attacking Paul for doing much less.
Actually pretty damn nice of them to reply. This is a big day for them. They get to attract attention and maybe some more money next time. That $20,000 they collected this time selling attendee lists is big money for a small state party.
WOW! So you're claiming that Fred Thompson did it clandestinely? Or that he lied on his disclosures?
To call someone a liar like that means you must feel pretty strongly...please show us your evidence! I'm dying to hear whether you think Sen. Thompson lied or what!

hahahah, did you actually read that, deport? hahaha Wyoming is ALL rural. Even Laramie and Evanston are about as small town America as you can find. Rock Springs used to be a big oil town but now . . . just some old horse people. More horses than people in Wyoming. Great place.
It was up to 76 for Census 2000. :-)
I've got to admit, you have a point.
If i recall correctly, these caucuses don’t mean squat.
These delegates are for the state convention in May where they will select delegates for the national convention.
Half the number of national delegates are selected in this state convention. The other half comes from primaries held in August.
Wyoming lost half of its national delegates and the delegates selected at the state convention are the ones that wont go to the national convention.
I may be wrong, there is very little information on how things work here in WY.
The Mormans have tremendous influence in Wyoming so it does not surprise me of a Romney win there.
Thanks...I wish I didn’t!
Yup, my bad. Evanston is in Uinta County. Evanston population 11,500ish.
Wow - it’s pretty awesome that you got that reply. Good on the WY GOP official that sent that.
As I said in my first post, you make a statement to color other people’s opinions but you lie by telling only part of the truth. When you can’t tell the whole truth, you’re a liar.
Are there a lot of boarding houses in Sublette County?
:^)
I have a friend from Europe who visited Wyoming and in his words "I thought the only thing alive in that state was scrub brush and an occasional prarie dog"
Wyoming is for sure rural as it can be.
Mormons rallying around the Myth.
4-0 among delegates, 1-0 among alternates.
Nah, the delegates count because there would have been no reason to move themselves up on the calendar and endure the 50% cut otherwise. Party maneuvers in May are not unheard of, but this is the West and people don’t cotton to undoing work that has already been done.
This is their day to shine and attract some attention. They clearly have at least some in this thread.
