FERNLEY, Nev. (AP) - Rescuers are using everything from school buses to helicopters to reach about 3,500 people trapped in a Nevada town because of a levee break.

One resident tells CNN that water is 3 to 4 feet deep in parts of Fernley, Nevada, which is east of Reno. Authorities say the frigid water has poured into about 800 homes.

Hillary needs to fly to Nevada and get the “I feel your pain” vote. Nevada is chocked full of unionist and they plan on delivering BIG to Hillary. The Clintonistas will work every angle to bring Nevada in as their first base to “comeback”. JMO.

This is due to that big Sierra storm that passed through yesterday. It rained all day on the eastern side of the Sierras (Reno, Fernley, Fallon, Carson City, et.al.), and it rained a lot, which probably caused the levee failure. Not only did these people get flooded out, but it’s not expected to get above 37F for the next 4 days or so, making the situation that much more difficult and dangerous. More storms for the next several days. What a mess.

Poor people. On the upside, massive bonfires are probably OK now for the first time in NV’s history.

We save the massive bonfires for the summer, although we call them ‘brush fires’...;^)

Reports are coming in slowly but the death toll is said to be in the hundreds of billions.

Fernley is in northern Nevada, conservative country. You’re thinking of Vegas for the “unionist” types.

Las Vegas is an extension of L.A. now.

The state has gone to hell.

Yup, Vegas is L.A. East.

Luckily there’s a lot more to Nevada than Vegas.

Luckily there’s a lot more to Nevada than Vegas.

Unfortunately, about 90% of it is owned by the federal government.

Good one. The real question is: are the people of Nevada sitting on their lazy butts washing down their Popeye’s fired chicken with Arriba and Thunderbird while demanding the government to come to their sorry-ass rescue?

Shouldn't you be campaigning in NH right now, Obama?

You mix up Vegas and northern Nevada. Fernley is a beige collar town that wasn’t even a city a few years ago. Unions in this part of the State are rare compared to Vegas. For all intents and purposes we are two different States. I could care less about Vegas and they pretty much do not care about us.
