One of the great things about this is that Hillary has done herself in. She’s been rallying young people to vote since the 1960s, and has pushed the “Rock the Vote” stuff ever since her lying husband was president. She figured that young people often vote liberal since they don’t yet pay high taxes or have children or other responsibilities.
But now that she’s finally in a position to run for president, she’s sixty years old, has been around forever, and she’s being upstaged by a charismatic, good looking, youthful fellow who’s the epitome of the “Rock the Vote” type candidate.
In addition, Hillary has pushed for affirmative action all her life, and now she’s finding that the race card still trumps the gender card. That’s particularly true when Oprah, the idol to a zillion women, has endorsed Obama.
And to top it off, Hillary is running as an “agent of change”, a theme which again helps Obama. She’s already been “co-president” for eight years, and in the news continuously for 15 years. Obama **actually** is new, not just posing as a new voice. Hell, he’s been around for such a short time that he hasn’t had time to do many flip-flops on issues, unlike Hillary.
All Hillary has left is the experience card, and that’s a flop because she’s never actually accomplished anything. She harmed the Arkansas educational system when placed in charge of it. Her health care scam was wildly unpopular and went down in flames. She’s accomplished nothing in seven years in the Senate. She’s flip-flopped all over the place on the Iraq War.
She’s in trouble. And it serves her right.
There are so many ironies in your very very excellent post! Thank you!
She's starting to look more and more like Norma Desmond.
Nice job.
