Hillary Booed at NH Democratic Party Dinner (On Drudge)

If the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s 100 Club dinner is any bell weather – Barack Obama will handily win here. When Obama, the dinner’s last speaker, took the stage the crowd surged forward chanting “O-bam-a” and “Fired Up, Ready to Go!” So many people pressed toward the stage that an announcer asked people to “please take their seats for safety concerns.”

By comparison Hillary was twice booed. The first time was when she said she has always and will continue to work for "change for you. The audience, particularly from Obama supporters (they were waving Obama signs) let out a noise that sounded like a thousand people collectively groaning.

I doubt she’ll run again for her senate seat. She doesn’t want to be a senator—it has been her stepping stone to the presidentcy. She will retire and they will divorce—is my prediction. I don’t know about the divorce—it’s a convenience for both of them in many respects; in no way a real marriage.

“Next thing will be to run somebody against her in 2010 and knock her out of the Senate. It is doable.”

That’s gonna be hard since she’s not up for re-election until 2012.

Herself said it was a great day for democrats because so many of them came out to vote.

Hey, lady! They came out specifically TO VOTE AGAINST YOU!

Just like the rest of us, they were scared purple about you stealing the election.

Obama’s an empty suit, and even more of a leftist than the junior NY senator. I think he won’t do well if nominated. But there’s something about Huck that one doesn’t love, haven’t put my finger on it just yet. Maybe it’s just that he’s an AR governor, but I think it’s more than that.

I didn't see it either. But I have no respect for Hillary. I don't think much of her & quite dislike her .

I love what my 8 yr old said in her 1st grade report last year on presidents. She got of course BJ Clinton. Now theres not too much you tell a 7 yr old about ol BJ & it was an oral report. So we made it simple and more about his life in general & his family. At the end of her report, Sassy was supposed to say Hillary Rodham Clinton is going to run for president & if she elected she will be the 1st woman president. Well my little darling added her own ending to that & it was & my mommy says God help us all. She got a A too!

Correct on the former and well deserved on the latter. Congratulations to your little girl. Just wait till she grows up; I doubt you'll even have to tell her. It's become a national shameful joke. The klintons are grotesque.

She’s used to it; maybe even thrives on it. when hillary visited the New York Board of Trade, the coffee ring broke out in a rousing chant of “Hillary Sucks! Hillary Sucks! Hillary Sucks!”

No sane person can make a case for why Obama is the best the Democratic party can bring forth. The best they could produce would probably be Joe Lieberman, at least in so far as foreign policy is concerned. But they've made it abundantly clear that they don't even want Lieberman in their ranks.

Exactly. Which of the democrats would be better than Obama, and why? It's not a pleasant population to choose from. We may snipe at one or another Republican candidate, but on the whole you can make reasonable arguments why one or the other is the best the Republicans can bring forth. Without even talking about hairstyles, image, or sexiness.

It has been a shameful joke for years - why anybody would even consider bringing them back into the WH, is beyond me.

I have this sad, horrible visual of those girls jumping on the bed in the Lincoln bedroom (that the Clintons rented out for large donations.)

(Not to mention what happened in the Oval Office.)

Why ANYbody considered bringing them into the White House in the FIRST place is really beyond me. Adding insult to injury was installing the carpetbagger as a NY senator....I loathe them both and always have.

Unbelievable that the editors of Time -- even on a blog -- would allow the misspelling of bellwether.

It was a comment from a reader. I don't expect Time or any other blog to proof and correct reader comments.
