Well, I actually would prefer Hunter to Huck. But it's all a matter of degree (& I'm not sure who's going to survive state by state). Since I prefer Huck to Romney & Huck to Giuliani & Huck to Paul, I'll defend his "good side" right now & concede the other consensus crits of him.
The main thing I don't like in these threads is the shrill, the tone, the whining, the sarcasms, the ad hominems against Huckabee. Finally someone posted what seems to be legit crits vs. Huckabee early today--see http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1947524/posts (but I just went there now & noticed only 42 posts...I don't get it...somebody will post something very minor & very trivial to ride Huckabee on...& you'll instantly see 75-100-125 posts...with plenty of venom to boot...but then somebody posts something more significant concern-wise about Huck...and it can't even scratch 50 posts.)
And yes, it's nasty. I've laughed to the point of hysterics at some of the verbal evisceration I've seen of the liberals on this forum. It's a terrible waste to see both our best and most base wordsmiths turning on each other. We'll need to pull together when it's over unless we really, really want a stalinist to win the White House come November.
And I'm not claiming innocent, either. I've ripped each of the candidates in turn. At one point I questioned the guy I supported (Thompson) and got shredded while screaming "I'M A FRIENDLY! HOLD FIRE!"
This contest is going to be bitter for the GOP no matter how it turns out who wins. We're so divided at this point. Hopefully the bruises will heal over the next 11 months. We need to win this one regardless of who the nominee is.
