when he was the GOP waterboy during the amnesty debacle of the last Republican congress. ?????Rush playing waterboy during the amnesty debacle. As I recall he was seething angry at the congress for even trying to pass that garbage. He seethed and went on a diatribe against the republican party for that.

“Rural Iowa matters for another reason in the Democratic contest. In order to encourage candidates to campaign in farming areas, state Democrats have tilted the delegate allocation so that rural areas are disproportionately represented in the final results. This sometimes can lead to bizarre results. As Roger Simon of Politico.com notes, “the turnout in some precincts is so small that a single family—let’s say four people—can determine the winner. In other precincts, only one person will show up and win for his candidate by being the only person in the room.” In small-turnout caucus meetings, ties are resolved by a coin toss or drawing lots. In 2004, four precincts saw literally no one show up to vote in the Democratic caucus. There are other anomalies on the Democratic side. Some precincts use a different threshold level than 15% for the viability of a candidate. “Residency” rules are incredibly elastic. No one checks identification, and anyone who claims to live in the precinct is allowed to vote. In other words, very little prevents the unscrupulous (such as out-of-state campaign workers who have “lived” in Iowa for a few weeks) from having a role in the process. Each caucus also elects a “permanent chair,” who can have an outsize role in the process. Ned Chiodo, who has been appointed temporary chair of his local caucus by the state Democratic Party, told Politico.com that a permanent chair “controls the flow of the meeting. You have influence. You may be able to pick up a vote or two here and there for your candidate.”

GOOD GRIEF!!

Really insane isn't it? Now go read their delegate rules! The Dems whole system is suppose to structured this way to "Be fair" but it is actually slanted so that the Party organization has undue influence in every step of the process. That why Hillary could do better then expected. She is the best organized.

And Rush finally sticking up for conservative principles might bring back all those that left listening to him when he was the GOP waterboy during the amnesty debacle of the last Republican congress.

That wasn't Rush. It was Bill O'Leprechaun.

SCOTUS will NOT outlaw abortion.
LEt me say it again in case you don’t understand.
SCOTOUS will NOT outlaw abortion.
At best you can hope for SCTOUS to come to their senses and revisit Roe and finally rule that is simply bad law with rights made up out of whole cloth.
That will then make Abortion no longer a federally protected ‘right’ and each state will be free to pass laws as they see fit a-la prostitution and gambling.

Yes, it was a shocking statement, but looking back it fits in his campaign.

Since he is also garnering the education union endorsement, even RG is running on school choice and a shake up of the dept of Ed, State, and other bureaucracies, which is a far more conservative campaign.

Huck obviously styled his campaign for the press, bashing Bush and populism is what they love.

(Hey, I've got news for you...God already indeed runs a theocracy...He just doesn't rely upon any mere men to run it...And when He does elect to utilize men (plural) as a small part of that process, no solo man can take credit for that)

Huh???

“We’ve both been here more or less 6 years, and I’m betting neither of us has seen the flame wars brewing here like during this primary season.”

There used to be War On Drugs threads that got very nasty, many people banned, many people leaving with Grand Opus posts. While the primaries have been hot, they are not the worst.

And as for the GOP being divided, I don’t think it’s all that bad. The message of the press is that they are divided, discouraged, and so forth, but I think that’s just to help their masters in the DNC.

Hooah. Spent my first ten years of service as an artillerist and then transitioned over into the weapons development and test and evaluation business for the last ten years and after retirement. Still love the smell of cordite.

Easy, I’m a born again believer, I’ve prayed about this, and continue to pray...

That's always a good start to any post.

...and I believe him when he says he’ll appoint the judges similar to Roberts, Scalia, Thomas and Alito...Now if you don’t believe him, that’s your prerogative

Maybe. Maybe not.

Abortion will only be outlawed through the Supreme Court.

Well, technically, the Supreme Court is supposed to not even be in the law-making buz...(but I know what you're saying...maybe they'll undo some of its '73 damage)

But since he's personally financially supported the abortion industry...what makes you think he won't do it professionally (by upping the level of $ this industry receives from our tax $)?

And in regards to the comments about homosexuals (which is what you are really referencing when you talk about drag)...I pray for people in those situations, I don’t ridicule them.

(No, I wasn't referencing anybody but Rudy...you've honestly not seen the "Rudy in drag" party pix posted numerous times on these threads?)

Thanks again for your opinion.

And for yours. (At least you stated it...most pro-Rudy folks around here stay silent for rather obvious reasons)

Richardson instructed his caucusers to support Barack Obama if he fails the viability test in any precinct, rather than with Hillary

Interesting. I too thought he was bucking for VP. A Hillary/Richardson ticket would bring the entire illegal alien vote, for certain, along with New Mexico, Arizona, and possibly Florida.

Big deal, a lot of musicians learned on the Fender Rhodes.
