I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!
I’m a conservative evangelical.
I think Huckabee is a disgrace, and brings shame on Christianity.
“Letting criminals out of jail is not a conservative position.”
Believing in the redemption (reclaimation) of people is consistent with conservative evangelical Christianity. Will a person be fooled at times....yes.
Jim & Tammy Baker, other TV shyster preachers and some of the mega church preachers have been in deep legal problems over the years.
We don’t need one in the White House.
1300 times?
The Bible is big on people having to face the consequences of their actions.
Huckabee has NO RIGHT to run around releasing criminals to make himself feel good, all the while endangering the public.
NITPICKER! ;-P~~~~~~~~~
(Yeah, isn't just terrible when you can't check or control other folks' spirituality...like the POTUS & Keyes examples you mentioned? We need more bouncer-enforcers of other folks' spirituality like you) [sarc squared]
Well, yes I am. Female, that is.
You’d be surprised how many posts I’ve gotten implying I’m a male - with a name like Cottonball! Weird.
I’ve been accused of trying to be too macho too. Again, I don’t think I’d chose ‘Cottonball’ as a screename if being macho was what I was seeking.
What do you think?
He will only lose those that don't listen to him.
You’re (intentionally) confusing spiritual redemption with liberal, judicial (attempted) reclamation.
“Seriously, SV, don’t lose perspective here — Rush has been stable at 14M for the past five years.”
That is true, but he has never denigrated someone liked by evangelical moral conservatives before. IF Huckabee doesn’t slide into obscurity, so that he remains a major public figure, then Rush’s comments will hurt him. I predict a 10% or better drop in listeners, IF Huckabee doesn’t fade, and Rush keeps denigrating him.
Actually, in my case, he is. As a conservative Christian I deeply resent his representations that he in any way could represent us. This was confirmed in spades with his "bunker mentality foreign policy" rant. Smelled something funny before, identified the carcass then and there.

Wow just saw this thread- started early!! Haven’t read the comments but here is my take: The news media has gone all out for this caucus in Iowa. It has completely exhausted me already. I am sick of the whole bunch of candidates and all of the talking heads.
I declare that whatever happens tonight ends the whole election process. Take whoever wins and go with it for goodness sake.
Are you and your acquaintances aware that if the Justices ever get around to repealing Roe V Wade, that merely returns the issue to be decided on a state by state bases, it does not outlaw Abortion?
Are you and the other Huckabees aware that about the only thing a President can do about Abortion is appoint good judges? That all other remedies must come either from the Courts or the Congress?
Thanks, taking calls now.
Steady Cedric, it’s going to be a long night!
