And that’s why — when it comes to Mormonism — it stands out like a sore thumb. They’re *so radically different* (in teachings and doctrines) that it’s *totally unrecognizable* as Christianity in *any form*.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Who gives a rat's A$$?

Get thee to a nunnery!

Mormons have been serving in our military for generations, many making the ultimate sacrifice for our country. That's enough to make them good fellow citizens as far as anyone should be concerned.

Yes, he truly could be the Comeback Geezer.

LOL! He sure is a geezer all right. Unfortunately for him, he looks a lot older than he is... although he is 72, I believe...

Ron Paul reminds me of a grenade. Rolling around on the floor in a room full of people.

And the pin has been pulled.

You said — “And if you are a Baptist, you believe that people can only be a Christian because God first chose them.”

Ummm..., not necessarily. I’m not a five-point Calvinist... LOL...

And then you were saying — So if you aren’t a Christian, it’s because God didn’t want you to be a Christian. You aren’t part of the “elect”.

I know the message (as you’re reciting), but I don’t buy that as Biblical. It’s just not a matter of personally not liking it or making a personal choice — but — it is a reasoned thing and you can go into that Biblical reasoning and rationale, if you get into Dave Hunt’s book — “What Love is This? Calvinism’s Misrepresentation of God”.

I think you’ll find the “correction” of what you are saying — in that book.

Star Traveler

I have read him. I have listened to his tapes.
What he says about Mormons is BS.

If what you think you know about Mormons depends significantly on Walter Martin, you are in a sad stae.

This is an example of why the GOP is going to end up with a “train wreck” for their political party, when one segment of the party tries to minimize what the Evangelicals are working for

I certainly do not "minimize" bigots like you or Hucksters from Arkansas, in fact, I believe both are a great threat to the Republic.

-—Those that have trashed Romney here, without a rising of Fred Thompson in the polls or votes, will have to settle for Huckabee or Guiliani, should Romney be defeated. I hope they are ready for that.-—

Or McCain.

Or Obama!

Imagine no fence ever being built. Imagine another 20 million illegals. Imagine actual socialized medicine, the real deal, not Romney’s mandatory private coverage.

We need to buck up, get our act together, and get real.

Yes...he’s a bit “outside the box.”

But, I can at least appreciate that at least one guy is talking about reducing the size of government.

My guy, Tancredo, was, too, but he’s dropped out after polling in the 1% range.

Unsettling, indeed.

God have mercy on us all.

Though, thankfully, Shrillery got a slight comeupance tonight.

You said — “So that means you overlook whatever policies, positions, world knowledge, past corruption, etc. the candidate has in favor of that one attribute. Sorry, I can’t buy into that one-issue thinking. I’ll stick with the comment I made in my post.”

I’m not sure why you can’t understand what is said. So, I’ll say it again. Being a Christian is the *first criteria* — but — it is *not* the “last criteria”.

That means that once a candidate passes the *first criteria* — then all those other matters regarding politics, comes into play. And we can compare one Christian candidates political position against another Christian candidates political position. There’s no problem doing that.

You seem to want to leave out the “rest of it” — when I say what happens *after* you pass the “first criteria”...

Star Traveler
