Steele just set hm straight.

Huck has no money and will lose in NH. He's done after SC

Romney was banking on the first two states and will lose both. He's done.

McCain is beyond broke. Even if he wins NH, he has to borrow money to keep going.

Fred has 6 million for his SC firewall. I think he will get a ton of money coming in from scared conservatives trying to keep him going and will emerge from SC victorious.

Still say it comes down to Rudy and Fred from Florida on.

It definitely is a good book. It’s been around for a long while, it’s considered absolutely authoritative in the Christian community and it’s also backed and edited by Ravi Zacharias (now, as Walter Martin died a long while back).

Ravi Zacharias, by the way, was invited to speak at the Mormon Tabernacle not too long ago. He’s the one who was praised by many Mormons there. But, at the same time, Ravi Zacharias knows that Mormon doctrine and teaching is a cult, and radically different from basic, historic and foundational Christianity...

Thanks for your post because I was beginning to think that I had really missed something. I, too, have FOX on most any time I am watching live TV and I either watch or record Brit's show every night. I have never gotten the impression that FOX (least of all Brit) was biased against him. He did have that little "run in" with Chris Wallace on FNS a few weeks ago, but Chris just had him on again this past Sunday. I think they are making a big deal of McCain because, up until the last couple of weeks, he looked dead in the water, while Thompson just seemed as if he had never gotten started.

This would be a big deal because McCain was the perceived favorite before the campaign started since he was the only candidate who had run for POTUS before. I think the media, FOX included, was sort of surprised that he was not doing better. Now, recently, he has been surging in NH.

I think Fred was trying to run a more traditional campaign by not really getting started until after Labor Day, but, since everyone else got such an early start and the primaries are so front-loaded, it has worked to his disadvantage. I think he had not even planned to try to win Iowa in order to focus on SC and the other Southern states, but decided in the last couple of weeks to make a one-on-one type of push in Iowa. Coming in third or tied for third when he has received very little coverage in the MSM (and what has been covered has often been taken out of context so as to make it as unfavorable as possible) is pretty good. Just MHO.

“FNC channel officially died as a reliable news source.

they have the same reporting as CNN or MSNBC.

MSM now includes FNC.”

Very true.

Heres a guy who was openly criticized for being lazy and he still got his messaage out. This is just the beginning. We all know candidates fortunes can turn on a dime or phrase. I hope FRED is in this for the long run.

excellent post. A lot can happen in the next few weeks.

Governor Huckabee’s “largest tax cut in Arkansas history” came at the cost of 1/3 of the increases he put in place. It’s like the old shell game at the mall: Raise the price $100 and offer everyone a $50 off coupon.

It did not take 10 billion to pave those roads. (I drive on them as we live just across the Mississippi from Arkansas.) And there are more non-conservative actions in his record than that.

Huckster and Cynthia McKinney have something in common. Each has a Zero chance of getting the GOP nomination. Huck’s Iowa win is no different than Pat Robertson’s — nothing in the long run. I see Fred breaking out in Feb. His rivals are Mitt, McCrazy, and Rudy.

How many precincts reporting? I sure hope Fred takes third. McVAIN stabbed his party loyalists in the back neons ago with his renegades RINO pals!

What I really do not understand is that the Huckabee supporters keep saying he is pro-life, he is pro-life, he is prolife. Well Fred is also pro-life and was endorsed by the National Right To Life Associaton over all the other Republican candidates. Guess Huckabee supporters don’t really care about immigration, higher taxes, bringing the terrorists to US jails, nanny state dictates, and on and on. Seems to me on just the pro-life issue, the Huckabee supporters are going for the wrong guy.

You said — “You Bible-Thumping Jesus-freaks are wearing thin on me.”

Get used to it, then. The GOP will never elect a President without them... LOL...

I’m listening to this goober Huckabee.

I can’t help but wonder if the people voting for him are even THINKING about winning a general election? This guy gets clocked by any Democrat this side of Cynthia McKinney.

I’m hoping Fred stays in and goes hard after SC. If he falters, though, Rudy is starting to look better and better. Huckster could destroy the GOP for a generation.

Goober, is right! I'm no fan of Huckabee, that's for sure. I hate to be a downer, but I just don't see Fred getting anywhere. I had high hopes for Hunter as well...and in truth, I still do. I think Hunter has a bright future and may eventually become President, but not this go-round.

Everyone talks about Paul or even McCain running as an independent. But what about the Huckster? If conservatives on radio and the blogs start to really get their knives out for Huck....could he decide to bolt? I know it's crazy in terms of money and organization, but it seems to me he's got some die-hard supporters, who, rather than see the light will become even more die-hard once conservatives really start piling on. How much of the evangelical left would flock to Huck? Or would his positions on abortion and gays keep them away?

As one still sitting on the fence here, I sure have to admit that Huck has the charisma and jibe! If it comes down to OSAMA or Huck, sorry but I don’t have a choice but to vote the good of two evils. I REFUSE TO STAY HOME AND NOT VOTE AND LET A RAT WIN..NEVER...HELL NO!! NO MUSLIM IN OUR WHITE HOUSE...HELL DOUBLE NO!!

I'm with you, Rose. Whatever candidate wins the Republican nomination Iw ill vote for. Chances are I will be less than enthusiastic but the truth is a candidate that supports 60% of what I do (or even less) vs. a Dem that probably would rank in the 5% range is an easy choice.

Obama’s up now...........from a superficial look see many Americans will think they look like the ideal family to have in the White House......their children were adorable.....and he is looking good now. SCary.
