Apparently, Iowa voters care not about the future of the Republic, but about which guy smiles the most and presses their Jesus Love Button the best.

Morons. All of them.

Is it just me, or does Hillary's crowd sound really small?

Sounds like about 50 people.

And I just heard someone booing her. I'm series.

Is it just me, or did Bill Clinton look like a mentally handicapped man standing there clapping and smiling?

(No offense to the mentally handicapped)

“Some one please explain this whole Mormonism is false Christianity thing. It seems to me to just be another Christian sect. It’s kinda medieval to call it a heresy.”

Heresy is not a midieval term in the Christian church.

A heresy is a doctrinal error so bad that you are off the Christian reservation. Christians disagree, for instance, about whether you should baptize your children as infants or wait until they make a profession of faith. We each regard each other as being in error on that point. However, we still consider each other Christians, not heretics.

Where the LDS gets into trouble with the majority of Christians, (similarly, Jehovah’s Witnesses and Moonies do as well) is over who is Jesus? They have Jesus down as a spirit brother of Satan, who got to rule this world, and is the god of this world. They say we can get a planet to rule over, too, and be a god, too. They reject the Trinity, which is the basic Christian description of God. That goes beyond error to heresy, at least for the vast majority of the Christian world.

This is not an LDS vs. Christian thread, and I don’t mean to make it one, I am just trying to answer your question. I am an evangelical but would vote for Romney should he be our nominee. I do not hate Mormons or anything.

I don’t know that he’s a cultist. However, I do know that Romney is *definitely* a cult member, as that’s pretty well defined and identified by Christian groups.

You can check it out in Kingdom of the Cults
http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Cults-Walter-Martin/dp/0764228218/

This is a reference book comparing basic, historic and foundational Christian teaching and doctrine to the cult groups (and also showing various Christian groups, too).

I’ll tell you what, whatever you find in that book about that church — I’ll go along with it. I don’t know what it says, so I’m just going on the basis that it’s recognized in the Christian community.

But, what I do know about Thompson, since listening to him about his faith is that he has no idea what the Gospel is, what the “good news” is and therefore, is not able to choose the message of the Gospel, for purposes of being “saved” (hence a “Christian”) — since he cannot choose what he knows nothing about....

That’s what I do know about Thompson... he doesn’t even know enough to be able to be a Christian, in order to choose that for himself...

Regards,
Star Traveler

“Tuning in to CNN is supporting THEIR liberal mission, IMHO.”

I know, I know.

I just can’t stand the ridiculous, non-sensical, non-stop hostility directed at Fred from FOX. Truly loathsome.

"If he really wanted to be important he would have gone to school like the rest of his brothers, cousins, ancestors etc. and got a law degree."

Wow, the average schmuk with a JD makes $90,000 a year and struggles. Rush makes more than that in a day.

FR can either jump off a bridge in despair or support McCain, because Thompson is toast.

Coming in 3rd must be a severe blow to her chances, no matter what kind of happy face she puts on it...she will be in full panic mode tomorrow...

No one has mentioned this tonight yet, so I may be way off base, but in my humble opinion Obama and Edwards are candidates with similar populist messages.  The only real difference between the two is the color of their skin (subject for later).  So, essentially 70% of the vote went solidly against Clinton.  I'm curious to discover what the Clinton's have in their very dirty bag of tricks.  New Hampshire is only five days away.

On a different subject, someone needs to pick up the phone and call the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton and tell them to get off the stage for the rest of eternity.  Iowa is about as white as Vermont so racism can finally be buried for good.

Bet the Breck girl doesn’t mention what accountants called the Edwards loophole, before they closed it. He paid himself millions and millions owed to him from his legal work, not as income, but as dividends through the S-corp he set up. Got the preferred rates for dividends, as far as taxes, and even better saved over $ 400,000 he would have paid on Social Security & Medicare (FICA)..

And you can bet the suckups interviewing won’t call him on it either.

What a fraud and arrogant loser this guy is
