Since we are being spammed by threads today slamming Thompson's campaing hopes, thought you all might like to know who is supporting him (financially).
Just a few:
Peyton Mannning
Mary Matalin
Pat Sajack
Others here:

In fairness, Mitt Romney does have former Boston Celtic player Danny Ainge.

Actually, Fred played football and basketball at Florence State College, now the University of North Alabama. He later transferred to Memphis State.
He is 6'5 and 3/4" tall - his nickname was "Stick."
He has an undergraduate degree in philosophy and political science from Memphis State University (1964) and a law degree from Vanderbilt University (1967).

Other way around, I think. I have his baseball rookie card and it was definitely before the Celtics - 1979 I think.

Last year Peyton spent millions out of own pocket to establish a Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Tom Brady, on the other hand, spent his time producing illegitimate kids trying to fill it up.

You did get a chuckle out of me with that one, but I won't say anything bad about Brady. One heluva player - that's for sure.
I will say this.
Last year, during the playoff game against the Patriots, the camera focused on Manning during the 4th quarter of a game (can't remember which one).
Tony Dungy had just approached him and placed both of his hands on Manning's shoulders, then he walked away.
Manning closed his eyes, and the announcer (Al Michaels?) said something to the effect of:
"It looks like Manning is praying there."
It was obvious he was.
Manning prayers answered in final drive vs. Patriots

“Of course Ainge contributed to Romney. Hes a Mormon.”
I know lots of Mormons who don’t support Romney. The’re all over the internet. Some like Paul, some Giuliani, and yes, some do favor Romney, but not all.

There are likely astronomically more Mormons who support Romney than don’t. I’m not surprised he did contribute, nor should you be.

And that is just a small part of Peyton's generosity. His Peyback Foundation has contributed additional millions to charitable and social works. Peyton is just a all round good guy and we are very proud and grateful to have him here in Indy.

As an Alabama fan I must admit that I admire Peyton. I was also happy as hell to seem him graduate from TN. I am sure that the rest of the SEC was glad to see him go as well. :)

You guys are lucky to have him.
I spoke to my friend (who is a Falcons fan) and he said he wished Vick had 1/100th of the class of somelike like Manning.
Vick ripped the heart right out of those fans.
