All summer and in August, Fred was negotiating his way out of several lucrative business contracts. He was finding people to run his campaign and beginning to build a national organization from scratch.

In September he announced and his campaign was just starting to gain people, gather contributions, and win endorsements. September was also slow because he was rusty as a campaigner. Now he has hit his stride.
