Too little, to late, JR.
I suspect most of the voters have concluded he doesn’t actually want the job.
No disputing what you wrote, just noting he appears to have blown a golden opportunity. His ‘walking for President’ schtick worked til he declared himself.
Like you, I had high hopes for him, seeing a return to Reaganesque policies. But his choosen strategy made it far too easy for a liberal MSM to paint him as ‘disinterested’ at best, ‘lazy’ or ‘sleepy’ at worst.
If he fails to take a third place finish today, he’s done, stick the fork in him.
Maybe he would be interested in a VP slot....
That is the only flaw I can think of in regards to him and his campaign. That doesn’t make him any less qualified, but perhaps a little more difficult to elect.
Not sure how you could possibly conclude that?
It's hard to tell whether it's "strategy" or simply Fred being himself. Either way, I think it may work.
Let the wanna-be's on both sides exhast themselves (and us) with their frantic cartwheels and slick, airbrushed, attack ads. Fred's calm, solid bloodhound will look absolutely Presidential compared with the pack of pampered, preening, desperate and rabid show poodles.
I hope the hell so, anyway.
