Nope. Fred will come in a close 3rd or even a 2nd tomorrow. He will NOT be dropping out. McCain may decide to give his supporters to Fred, though.

I don’t think he would drop out before SC.

Excellent link, thank you. I think that explains it all, frankly.

No, this is out of Slick Willard’s camp. The rumor started here:

The guy who posted it is the loser from mymanmitt.com named Jason Bohnam.

I can’t really believe this.

Why would you drop out after the first caucus when you place above Ron and Duncan?

If Fred is really saying this, he’s lazier than the press has even made him out to be.

And I want the money back I sent this week to his campaign.

I am puzzled. He supposedly jumped in the race after a very extensive “Draft Fred” campaign. He talked a big talk. He at least on the surface appears to be one of the few of those that have been considered “top tier” candidates who actually have somewhat of a conservative record.

He started off with what appeared to be solid support.

And now talk of dropping out....???

The CFR folks must have got the message to him that he is not one of their “anointed” candidates....

With Duncan Hunter (my preferred candidate) polling in the low singe-digits (Ron Paul polling much higher) - this leaves no candidates who at this point deserve my vote.

Huckabee - while he talks a pretty good game, skeletons have started emerging from his closet (pardons/early releases, Big government big spender, nanny state).

Romney - Whether it matters to some, his Mormonism will be a major factor if he gets the nomination. His record vs. his stated platform collide pretty seriously. He is the 2008 version of the Democrat’s John Kerry of 2004... or so he appears.

McCain - Insane and is a traitor on several fronts - from immigration, to throwing away the Republican majority power. He is a RINO....and I personally believe he is a NV brainwashing/programming subject....

Rudy-— BIG TIME Liberal who also has a problem with record vs. his statements as a candidate. I don’t see Rudy being a significant improvement over Hillary...

So with the most conservative candidates either out, or soon-to-be out of the race - that leaves us with folks who are flip-floppers, and/or big government taxers, and traitors who love illegal immigrant labor...

I am fed up.

The Thompson Campaign filed corrected paper work for the Texas Primary today...

Does not sound like something one would do if leaving the field does it.

Nice try though...

Romney is an anti-life, pro-gay agenda, illegal amnesty advocate.

Thompson could endorse anyone on the Republican side EXCEPT FOR liberals Giuliani and Romney.

Over already? That would be a disappointment. Will he also drop out of the debates? (He says he won’t but ...)

But they note that there would be a logic to doing so soon, in order to help a friend and colleague at a moment when he needs it most. In turn, Thompson might be named attorney general in a McCain administration.

Makes no sense. Fred isn't looking for a job, certainly not attorney general. I smell BS.

This whole thread is a load - a pathetic hit job. You cannot call yourself conservative and vote for Romney, McCain, Huckabee or Giuliani. Period.

Romney is my next to last choice, barely ahead of Giuliani and Hilary.
