Its a travesty that these two are still in prison.
I guess Jorge Boosh values the rights of illegal alien drug dealers over the rights of American citizens

Yes, and it is also the administration’s clear message to the current Border Patrol Agents - don’t work too hard.
(BTW, Border Patrol Agents tell me that they were really hung out to dry because they falsified a report regarding the incident.)

Thanks for the ping, calcowgirl.
I will be there in prayer, if not in person.
It looks like Pres. Bush is snubbing the will of the people,
a majority of Congress, and the true meaning of justice. We will, indeed, have to supplicate a higher power than the President!
If these two Border Guards are kept in prison much longer, I would say we are approaching a violation of the US Constitution dealing with “cruel and unusual punishment”. The drug dealer was wounded, not killed. Johnny Sutton distorted the law to make it applicable to law enforcement officers using weapons. In that distortion, every LEO is at risk.
Release the Agents. Jail Sutton. [And if anyone would run with the “House of Death” story, that possibility exists.]

FR's resident Constitutional attorney Congressman Billybob has confirmed all Congress needs to do is pass a law clarifying 924 as it relates to LEO's. In other words, it wouldn't apply to cops who use their guns in the
normal course of their duties even if it is a case of mistaken judgement. Once passed, not only would it allow Ramos and Compean to be immediately released it would protect all federal LEO's in future similar situations.
But this option has never been discussed much less proposed or initiated by Hunter, Rohrbacher, Poe, Feinstein or any other politician who seems to be grandstanding on this issue.
I haven't once seen a call on FR for supporters to urge these or any congresscritters to do the same. It would seem to be the easiest and most direct route to solve the problem.
Instead we have 2 years of calls for pardons, rallies, press conferences, donations, etc. while Ramos and Compean rot away in prison.
Why?
