FR's resident Constitutional attorney Congressman Billybob has confirmed all Congress needs to do is pass a law clarifying 924 as it relates to LEO's. In other words, it wouldn't apply to cops who use their guns in the
normal course of their duties even if it is a case of mistaken judgement. Once passed, not only would it allow Ramos and Compean to be immediately released it would protect all federal LEO's in future similar situations.
But this option has never been discussed much less proposed or initiated by Hunter, Rohrbacher, Poe, Feinstein or any other politician who seems to be grandstanding on this issue.
I haven't once seen a call on FR for supporters to urge these or any congresscritters to do the same. It would seem to be the easiest and most direct route to solve the problem.
Instead we have 2 years of calls for pardons, rallies, press conferences, donations, etc. while Ramos and Compean rot away in prison.
Why?

My prayers to them and their families. I have written numerous times to the White House. Our President simply doesn’t care what any of us thinks about this.
Does anyone know when the Appeals court is supposed to rule? Can’t Congress do anything?
