“A raped woman must terminate the pregnancy immediately upon learning of the pregnancy if a trusted doctor gives her clearance for the abortion,”

This is utterly ridiculous, but I see a loophole here... couldn’t the woman go to a doctor who would ‘just happen’ to not give clearance for the abortion? The doctor is likely to have to be female under all these laws IIRC, so at least she’d be more sympathetic towards the woman, or the possibility of the woman being able to find a doctor who’s also a personal friend would be greater. Not that I could imagine a rape victim in that culture not wanting an abortion - between the social and legal pressures to abort and the fact that her religion says it’s OK, I really don’t see many reasons for her to want to keep the child.

I would imagine that any female doctor who gains a reputation for having any sympathies for rape victims will be judged as being an agent working against Islam and will quickly meet the same fate as the rape victim.
