Of course, there is much to disdain about The New Rules of Marriage, but what offended me most was its pervasive celebration of inequality amongst the sexes. Women want more out of relationships today so…men must give it to them. Why is that the case? In every equitable transaction, the side who asks for more must offer more in exchange. This leads us to ask, what do modern women offer men that is superior to what their predecessors proffered in the past?......

NEW rules of marriage?

I didn't know there were OLD rules of marriage.

I thought it was just a free-for-all and devil take the hindmost.

I never got his answer, I just hung up and wanted to vomit.

Without saying a word, your friend's wife protected the family fortune.

I always figured I could leave any situation that I wanted to. May not like it but I could do it. Now........with that poem of yours, I’m afraid if I said something like that, someone else would be leaving me.

When do your stitches come out?

Lets examine that statement for a moment, shall we?

You say stitches, as his wife in some way struck him and caused a lasceration. Well, thats assault, and I should hope she gets jailtime for that. Any woman hits me and she is first gonna have the fear of God put into her, second, after I compose myself and avoid touching her in any way (I don't hit women) I will surely call the police.

That is a positive outcome. Should the man be a violent type person, the woman might be in big trouble after she strikes him.

Your friend sounds like an adult. Adults are more concerned about their responsibilities to their families - or at least, whether they already have an event on the calendar - than about the opportunity to run off and play at the drop of a dime, with no thought for anything else.

I think one of the problems in our culture is that the general consensus seems to be that men stop maturing at 16.

I just love the women’s movement.

Especially walking behind it.

There is no new rule - just new-age ways of coping with the age-old truth. Men and Women’s brains are wired different and God meant it to be that way.

This video is priceless......

“You can be right or you can be married; what’s more important to you?”

I pick my battles. Usually it's enough for me just to know I'm right.
