I my opinion the dog deserves a hero’s funeral.If we had peace officers instead of law enforcement officers, no dog would have been on the force, and no dog would have been killed.

If we had peace officers instead of law enforcement officers, no dog would have been on the force, Please explain why "peace officers" shouldn't have dogs for tracking, detection, guarding evidence, or hot pursuit of a person observed in the act of committing a violent crime.
