If we had peace officers instead of law enforcement officers, no dog would have been on the force,

Please explain why "peace officers" shouldn't have dogs for tracking, detection, guarding evidence, or hot pursuit of a person observed in the act of committing a violent crime.

That's why in the old days, they used to call them "flatfoots".

Other than that, peace officers are a thing of the past. We only have law enforcement officers now.

Peace officers kept the peace. Law enforcement officers enforce the law.
