Did you see that the man fell 200 feet into the water and survived?

I my opinion the dog deserves a hero’s funeral.

Well, the ratio of innocent family dogs dying by trigger-happy cops is still much higher. Color me unsympathetic.

I'm sorry to hear about this brave dog's death.
I think we should take a look at cases like this and keep dogs off the front lines. Cops already have guns. We don't need to be endangering dogs. The only purpose they serve is finding drugs in the useless drug war that needs to be ended anyway.
The police dogs can be better used for finding people in collapsed buildings. That's safer for the dogs.

Pursuit ends in death of police dog, authorities say"
"Ah pity the poh fool dat survives an incident in which a police dog perishes!"
(tip of the hat to "Mr. T" !!!)
The guy needs to take plea.
No way he'd get acquitted by a jury. Especially in California where
conservative and average folks love dogs...
and liberals think dogs are NOT owned by the people that
feed/look after them.
The only way he'll beat a wrap on contributing to the demise of
an LEO dog is if he gets a jury full of devoted Islamics
(that all hate dogs.)

The man lived, but the dog died. Too bad it wasn't the other way around.

Why did they put the dog on the guy?
He was out of the car.
Did he have a weapon?
Did the cops just want to see some blood?
Seems they just wanted so see they’re pet having some fun.
I love dogs, but a trained dog in the hands of sadists is trouble waiting to happen, IMHO.
