Boston, MA – Today, Bay Buchanan announced that she is endorsing Governor Mitt Romney for President of the United States. Buchanan most recently headed Congressman Tom Tancredo's (R-CO) presidential campaign.
"I am proud to be supporting Governor Romney. Throughout this campaign, he has distinguished himself as the one Republican presidential candidate who not only speaks to the challenges confronting the American people, but can also win. He will secure the border, strengthen the economy and ensure that America remains strong. Could be. How do you think it happened that a good Catholic girl became an even better Mormon woman?
Another Mormon coming out in support of Romney?
First, I like Bay. I’ve met her a few times and she’s a great lady. But she renounced her Catholic faith when she married a Mormon and converted, so presumably she’s one conservative who doesn’t find Romney’s Mormonism to be an issue.
That’s her perogative, but it is what it is.
