Forgot to ask what is going to happen to my Netscape bookmarks?

Netscape 9 is Firefox with a Netscape theme. Just download Firefox from mozilla.com.

I will miss the Netscape name. Reminds me of the wild days of the internet back in 1995. Just after Algore invented it. I used Netscape for years until I switched to OmniWeb then Safari on OS X. Now that I am back on Vista, I was using Netscape 9. Not sure what I’ll use now.

Open your bookmarks and you should see ‘export’ and save them to an easy to find folder or your desktop. Then open FF and do the reverse, ‘import.’

On a Windows install, FF will ask if you want to import your IE bookmarks but I don’t know if it looks for other Mozilla installs and asks or not.

After using IE since my first computer, I finally installed Firefox and love it. It does make my Hotmail harder to read but no big deal. My dad had Netscape and I never cared for it.
