North Star Writers Group ^ | December 31, 2007 | Paul Ibrahim

We have had a fairly mixed year. Both good stories and bad were bountiful, and sometimes good and bad news came together to neutralize mega-stories. Take Pakistan, where Pervez Musharraf’s lifting of both his military uniform and his country’s State of Emergency was closely followed by the untimely assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Nobody quite knows what the net effect of these events will be.

Good list, but I think a truer “Worst” list would have had 7 of the 10 stories be about Britney Spears.

I think the author thought that if he heard another word about Britney Spears, he would put a hole in his own head. Just a guess.

Yes, and I completely understand...which is why she should make the list of worst stories at least 7 times. lol

Instead of singling out Britney, it’s be more accurate to label them “Spoiled Rich Beeches”.

I thought of rounding out the top 10 with Lindsay Lohan, but I didn’t.

I’m with you.

In watching the interviews with the cast of Hairspray, Zac Efron, Brittany Snow, Elijah Kelly, Amanda Bynes, I’m so glad my girls love these kids. They all said that they do go to clubs and live like young people. However, they don’t want scandals connected with them. When they are working, they are working and are professionals.

Amanda Bynes even went so far to say that her favorite thing is to watch Wheel of Fortune with her Grandmother. God Bless every one of these kids.

Keep in mind that Lindsay Lohan was once one of those pure little darlings that didn’t want scandal attached to her.

How about the Anna Nicole Smith story? The whole ‘drama’ surrounding the baby-daddy case sucked the oxygen out of the room for legitimate news.

There’s only so much room on the Top Ten! And that one addition might have made the author’s head explode. Just guessing.

Well, the story about the bridge collapse is not fluff, there were real people who died that day, due to government mismanagement. To me, that’s a necessary tale to tell, ANS is just another dead slut.

Yes, but these kids have been stars for years already. They have proven the point.

Well, good luck to them. I will say that I’ve never heard of any of them, so maybe ‘stars’ is a relative term. Or maybe I’m too old.

I don't think you're too old, but one must have kids in the right age range. This kid.....

is the hottest thing since sliced white bread. Has been for about three years. Zac Efron stars in High School Musical. Look around in stores. You'll see him. My girls adore him.
