Chelsea Clinton guards her words
By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writer 15 minutes ago
It's one thing for Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign to turn down interview requests for the candidate's daughter, Chelsea. But can't a 9-year old reporter catch a break?
Sydney Rieckoff, a Cedar Rapids fourth grader and "kid reporter" for Scholastic News, has posed questions to seven Republican and Democratic presidential hopefuls as they've campaigned across Iowa this year. But when she approached the 27-year-old Chelsea after a campaign event Sunday, she got a different response.
"Do you think your dad would be a good 'first man' in the White House?" Rieckoff asked, but Chelsea brushed her question aside.
"I'm sorry, I don't talk to the press and that applies to you, unfortunately. Even though I think you're cute," Chelsea told the pint-sized journalist.
Such is the paradox of Chelsea as she campaigns across Iowa in the closing days before the state's caucuses Jan. 3.
Tall and attractive, Chelsea cuts an impressive figure on the campaign trail; she plunges enthusiastically into the crowd after her mother's speeches, shaking hands and posing for pictures while asking, "Are you going to caucus for my mom?"
But onstage, Chelsea never speaks; she stands next to her mother and applauds but utters not a single sentence and doesn't even say hello. And reporters covering the campaign have been put on notice that Chelsea is not available to speak to them. An aide follows the former first daughter as she works the crowd, shushing reporters who approach her and try to ask any questions.

I’d prefer not to hear from any presidential offspring be it on the campaign trail or when in trouble with the law. They’re irrelevent IMHO.
Ugly as a mud fence.
and just as firm....................lmao
OMG! Super barf alert reqd.
Tall and attractive, Chelsea
Whoa...I would get your eyes checked, she’s a “Wisconsin 8”!
Well at least Chelsea keeps her mouth shut unlike her not so smart mother.
She must be her mother's daughter. After all, how many real questions does Her Heinousness answer?
None of them like to be pinned down or be asked followup questions, and Chelsea is following that pattern.
The flattering words in the article are an example, I’m supposed to feel good about Chelsea (and Hillary by extension).
I also wonder what her bonus was? Does Hillary want to take her profits as well?
Okay, Chelsea is far more attractive than anyone else in the Sex Offender in Chief’s family. And she probably has more brains and morals than both her parents combined by a long shot, which still isn’t saying much in her favor. I like to think that she’s doing quite well considering her despicable parentage. I’d guess that she makes appearances but doesn’t talk to the press on demand of her mother or her campaign. She very well may pray silently every day that her mother flops big time in the Iowa caucus and quickly drops the race. I can’t imagine that she enjoys her present position.
But then again, she’s aging terribly in the photographs...she once looked near the 20th percentile, but that picture has her near the 5th percentile and dropping hard. So let us pray for her health and well-being; she’s at least as much a victim of the Clinton scandals as the rest of us.
“I cant imagine that she enjoys her present position.”
Unless she too feels entitled to sit in the Oval Office, after eight years of Obama (with Hillary as vice) then eight years of Hillary (with Algor as vice), then Chelsea runs (with Natalie Maines as vice just kiddin’ there).
Then she’d enjoy her current position and consider it “experience”.
Why is she afraid she is gonna say something like:
Reporter: Chelsea what do you think of your mom as a candidate for POTUS?
Chelsea: Well I can tell you this much, She she sure doesn’t suck at it....
It’s sort of like saying, “I’m voting for candidate (whoever) because it’s time we had a red headed president.” People who think like that shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
susie
“This stupid broad got a job with a hedge fund right out of Stanford (armed with a History degree) for $250K a year.”
I’d bet it’s closer to 750-1,000k/year. That is an educated guess from somebody that works on Wall Street. Also recall that Chelsea’s bosses are Clinton supporters.
After the amount of work she has had performed she should be H-O-T hot. She is not.
And she probably has more brains and morals than both her parents combined by a long shot,
I have seen no evidence of this.
If she cannot be trusted to speak at 27 years old will she ever be ready?
I know nothing of hedge funds. That said, how much revenue would she have to generate to justify this salary and how would a history degree give the ability to create a client base this large?
Thanks in advance.
LOL.
Chelsea and Mr. Ed - the only difference being that at least Mr. Ed got to speak...
