Mena, Arkansas - is this why the Bushes and Clintons protect each other? (L.D. Brown book)

CROSSFIRE: Witness in the Clinton Investigation
NOTE: Several years ago, I helped L.D. Brown with a book tour in Southern California. He was there to see the whole sordid mess of the Clintons and was trooper bodyguard for Bill for six years. L.D. never saw Bill use cocaine, because he would never put up with that in his presence. But he knew Bill used it. Some have wondered why George Bush has not pursued the crimes of the Clintons. I believe it goes back to the days of Mena, Arkansas, where large shipments of cocaine were being delivered by Barry Seal.

Seal didnt just make a few runs. How can it be explained that it went on for a considerable period of time? He was a professional smuggler, and he was good at it.

I once interviewed the mother of one of “the boys on the tracks” who were murdered because they stumbled on the drug drop scene. Seal might have been good, but how the authorities could not see what was happening is baffling.

The Ives/Henry murders occurred far away from Mena. The culprits were most likely Dan Harmon and Jay Campbell, not the CIA.

Curious, Doug. Why the broad brush?
Why should #43 be tainted?

Bump. FReeper Uncle Bill and Wallaby used to post about this stuff all the time, and were called looneys and worse around here. Same for Michael Rivero. Remember him?
There's always Terry Reed's book, Compromised, as well, that supports all this that you post.

I am just not sure of all we are hearing. Everyone who writes a book has an agenda. I’ve met both Terry Reed and L.D. Brown and had good conversations with them. I consider them both to be patriots. We do know that a massive amount of cocaine came into Mena, Arkansas with the complicity of the governor. Who was complicit at the federal level? Do the Clintons and Bushes have blackmail on each other? That is the question. The Clintons have been allowed to get away with a great amount of criminal activity.

Weve always had plunderers and profiteers in war time, but whats gone on in Iraq with cash and suitcases full of it and with the overcharging and the looting by the Halliburtons and others is absolutely unprecedented.I seem to recall similar complaints were made about the Johnson Administration and Vietnam.

I don’t know that #43 is tainted at all. I think he does have a good heart. Unfortunately, that good heart has allowed the Dems to take advantage of him. If his dad was involved in activities known by Clinton that could damage #41’s reputation, maybe that is why he has let the Clintons slide.

How far away? I understood them to be in the area of the drug drops. That’s what Linda Ives told me. I have heard people talk about how dirty Dan Harmon was.

The bodies were found around Shobe Road Crossing near Alexander in Saline County, just south of Little Rock. (
Google Map)
Mena is near the western border of Arkansas, next to Oklahoma. (Google Map)
The distance from Alexander to Mena is 102.5 miles.
The so-called Mena scandal has been used as a smokescreen to disguise the true culprits in various unrelated crimes like the Ives/Henry murders and cocaine at Tyson Foods. By sending investigators on a wild-goose chase on the CIA, the real culprits got away.
But some of them got caught anyway in other crimes. Dan Harmon was sent to prison in 1997 and released in 2006. Earlier this year, Jay Campbell was sentenced to 304 years in prison, but he could be released in about ten years.
