1. Send a barrage of letters to the police union pledging support and insisting that they do everything possible to get the prosecution to throw out the charges.
2. Send letters-to-the-editor of all the local papers expounding on what a wonderful guy the cop is and how he participates in charity events.
2. Show up en masse to the trial in uniform and stare down all the witnesses that take the stand against the officer. As a bonus in some locales, they'll swing by the homes of prosecution witnesses, slowly drive past, and glare at them.
“Boarder guards are guards, have nothing to do with law enforcement in a constitutional sense, their ability to us their weapons should be a much lower standard.”
Huh? Border Patrol agents are Federal Officers, I have no idea what you mean by them only being “guards”.
Since Compean fired 14 times and missed from a distance of 25-75 feet, I would have to agree with you, Boarder (sp) Guards (agents?) can have much less “ability” to use their weapons.
Did you mean something else?
“Don’t worry Bob, the “Ramos and Compean pardon supporters” probably won’t get their way, and these two vicious criminals will probably serve their entire 12 year sentences for their brutal crimes.”
Well, they wouldn’t if you had spent the last 2 years urging your congresscritters to pass legislation clarifying the law instead of rabble rousing to advance your own personal agendas and cackling on about the New World Order.
I guess two BP agents sitting on prison isn’t as important as scoring a few media and public relations hits.
WARNING - Thread Hijack in Progress
Sounds like somebody was trying out his Vic Mackey impersonation for the holidays!
In case you didn't notice, the public already knows Johnny Sutton, his prosecution, and the White House intentionally went after these two with a vengeance, to send the message, of "hands off illegals and Mexican drug smugglers" No further "scoring" is necessary.
Well, they wouldnt if you had spent the last 2 years urging your congresscritters to pass legislation clarifying the law
Congresscritters? What an odd phrase to use for corrupt career politicians and D.C. insiders.
This form is for posting ones opinion isn’t it.
It is amazing - how much would he have made from selling that? How much would he have earned including his retirement benefits if he had worked until retirement.
“Theres one really strange thing about this. Lets say you steal $1M or $2M worth of cocaine. What the heck do you do with it?”
(sarc)
Lawyers for the Officer state that their client only took the cocaine for ‘personal use’.

: )
I heard that his defense attorney was going to use the “Katrina Defense”................
“he had to steal it to take care of his family.”
With all his back pay, don't forget that.
Sounds like a lot. More than can be stuffed in his lunchpail though? Did he use a wheelbarrow?
He had to use a cart of some sort or take it out by the armload. Or pilfer it out brick by brick over a period of time.
The bricks (kilos) of coke that I saw taken in the drug busts were about 2” thick by a foot wide by 16” long. Dont hold me to that exactly, but something resembling a ream of printer paper? So 40 of em would be about 100 pounds but would be a volume of several cases of printer paper. Yes, he didnt walk out one trip with that all under his jacket. The other thing is, dirty cops rarely operate alone, they need to be looking up his buddies and checking out their connections also. This guy may take the fall, but you can rest assured that he is not alone in this.
I thought that’s what I was doing?
“... the White House intentionally went after these two with a vengeance, to send the message, of “hands off illegals and Mexican drug smugglers” No further “scoring” is necessary.”
Or, Bush was sending a message that we have laws and LEO’s cannot indiscriminately shoot unarmed fleeing suspects without justifiable cause.
One explanation is for the tinfoil hat crowd, the other is for rational, normal people.
“Cocaine’s a hell of a drug.”
