That is a false statement.
Romney's "conservatism" is only as old as this campaign. Prior to that he was a total liberal. Many have commented that his conversion is suspect.
Others have said they'll be willing to believe in his conversion to conservatism for THE NEXT ELECTION CYCLE. He needs a period of time in which to prove himself.
Romney's record is a record of pro-abortion, pro-gay agenda, pro-illegals, anti-gun, etc.
Since you are posting things that are not true, please go here to learn the facts:

We are supposed to over look those facts. I've studied Romney's record and concluded the same thing you did. He became conservative when it became convienent to do so. Nothing more, nothing less. To compare him favorably to Ronald Reagan is a travesty.
Hi, I'm Mitt Romney and you can trust me to live up to my promises.
I've promised to protect a woman's right to an abortion and I've promised to work to end a woman's right to an abortion.
I've promised to support gun control and I've promised to fight gun control.
I've promised to lower taxes and I've promised to raise taxes.
I've promised to close our borders and I've promised to fight to keep them open.
Trust me. I keep my promises. You just never know which ones I'll keep.
