Un-American? America was founded on the concepts of liberty and freedom, including freedom of religion, freedom of the press and freedom of speech. There is nothing un-American about criticising candidates or any facet of their lives including their personal philosophies or their religious beliefs. It's a guaranteed freedom. Perhaps the RINO Romney and his supporters would prefer living in a closed society where criticism and free speech are not allowed? If a candidate can't take the heat, he should stay out of the kitchen!
The writer is a student Jim. I agree with you about “the concepts of liberty and freedom, including freedom of religion, freedom of the press and freedom of speech.”
Romney is certainly in the kitchen. It will be fascinating as to how this plays out....starting in early January.
As I noted earlier “unfair” is a liberal buzz word. Wah, wah, wah, that is so unfair. Makes me want to barf.
My daddy told me more than 50 years ago, “life ain’t fair, get over it”.
Megga Dittos Jim, spot on.
And I would add that the community of FReepers is just one small "microwave" in that media kitchen!!! As Laura Ingraham has repeatedly said on her program, that she is unapologetically "tough" on the candidates she interviews on her talk show...because, as she says, the MSM will only be a lot tougher come 2008.
I think we can all agree we want a viable, electible nominee come '08. We don't want a candidate who will wither under the barrage of the MSM or the Dem's presentations of the candidates!
In this way, these sites serve the vital interests of "testing" candidates, just like each of us have to be "tested" in this world..."testing" is a Biblical concept...God doesn't remove us from this world just because the "tests" come...rather, He assists & enables us to move beyond mere circumstances.
