Suffer The Little Children...
freedom.org ^ | December 16, 2007 | Jan Jacobs

In the King James Bible, Jesus is quoted as saying, “Suffer the little children to come unto me.”

Somehow, I don’t think Jesus meant for predators to be able to say “Suffer the little children to come into me.” Nor did He intend ‘wild beasts of the field’ to get away with adding “YUMMY” to His words.

Yesterday, I went to an isolated home in Ft Drum, Florida, where a young boy, aged three and half years, was savagely attacked by some wild beast. To make it even more of a horror story, now the bureau-beasts are thinking of attacking the boy, and his family. It has been a beastly week for this family, no pun intended.

The boy was outside with his mother when Mom had to go to the bathroom. She walked a short distance to the front door, went inside and asked the father of her fiancee, ”Grandpa, would you watch Anthony?”

Grandpa went outside a few moments later, to find the boy naked; His clothes ripped off him and lying several feet away, he was covered with blood, and whimpering with fear and shock. The 71-year-old man picked Anthony up and ran to the door shouting “Call 911!” That was Thursday. I am writing this on Tuesday, and Anthony is still in the Intensive Care Unit. Anthony, I was told, will be released late this week. Maybe.

Grandpa described to me, and to a colleague of mine, the wounds he saw on Anthony. He emphasized the inches-long slashes in Anthony’s upper thighs.

These slashes went right through the skin, and had also cleanly parted the fat layer below. The wound had, effectively, opened the boy’s leg so deeply that Grandpa feared the femoral artery might have been cut.

If it just me, or is this a horribly written article? If I were familiar with the story to begin with, I would understand what she was saying. But since this was all new to me, her desperate attempts at innuendo confuse the reader into wondering what actually was going on in the 1st half of the article.

"If it just me, or is this a horribly written article?"

You're right:
Any good MSM "journalist" could have made it clear that the mother or grandfather was at fault here, and the nearest Florida panther was miles away...

I googled up several better written articles on the incident. It wasn’t a panther, but it was an animal - not human assault. My bet is a feral dog

This “writer” should not be permitted to touch pencil, pen or keyboard until she has been trained, and has demonstrated ability to write a straightforward account of an event without resorting to hyperbolic dramatization.

What type of wild beast would do such a thing?

A “Florida” panther is suspected by this biologist. The “Endangered Florida panther” program$$$ could be easily wiped out by an outraged public if the attacker was indeed a panther.

Florida panther wasn’t responsible for attack on boy

FORT DRUM - A panther wasn’t behind today’s mauling of a 3-year-old boy, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.

While panther sniffing dogs scoured the area near Northeast Ninth Avenue where the boy was attacked by an animal, a Fish and Wildlife biologist determined the child’s wounds weren’t consistent with an attack from the species, Fish and Wildlife Spokesperson Dani Moschella said.

Panthers generally attack the head and neck, Moschella said: “And when they attack, they kill.”

The boy was in stable condition after being transferred from Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

He was playing in the yard and, when his mother and grandfather went outside to check on him, they found him on the ground bleeding and badly hurt near the family’s dog pen.

The incident occurred at about 12:24 p.m. in the 33700 block of North East Ninth Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Officials couldn’t detail the boy’s wounds and by early evening hadn’t determined what type of animal was responsible for the attack.

A panther attack on a human would have been be the first in the state’s history, Moschella said.

Oh, well, guess not, the Gummint has spoken. Guess if I decide to go to Las Vegas, I should call to see if there’s any danger in compulsive gambling.

“Panthers generally attack the head and neck, Moschella said: “And when they attack, they kill.”

A mere google search would show that Moschella didn’t do a google search.

For a start, the cougar which attacked a boy while he held his father’s hand DID survive. Other instances of both children and adults surviving a cougar attack are readily available at the touch of the ENTER key.

The key issue seems to be whether help is immediately at hand. Otherwise the human becomes cougar food.

First line medical treatment is always needed when a cougar attacks a human.
