Please remember this gentle giant tomorrow and prayers for his fiance. An officer does everything right (by the book) and still loses his life. God must have needed him in his angel brigade!!

I know you didn't mean it that way, but I have to say this anyway... There is nothing merry about what is happening to Maryland. Maryland has been on the downward spiral for a number of years. Our politicians have made it nearly impossible for Marylanders to be able to defend ourselves from human predators who will do us harm; no CCW permits for the overtaxed, overburdened-by-other-stupid-laws subjects living in "The Free State." The government that has stripped us of our natural right to self defense tells us that we don't need firearms for self defense; our laws will protect us. If the consequences weren't always so tragic, that "government will protect you" mindset might be something to laugh about. But people die who shouldn't die, and miserable bastards live because we have idiots running this state.

From another article about the double-murderer, Douglas Wayne Pryor:

"Deputies served an arrest warrant at the Hospital at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, charging Pryor with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and one count of violating a protective order, the Sheriff's Department said."

Once again, a protective order didn't protect anybody. A woman who was forced to be dependent on the judicial lunacy of our state government learned too late that her paper order wasn't worth even the ink it was printed with, and a young law enforcement officer was gunned down by her killer.

Our legislators don't give a damn about how their insane laws endanger all of us. Marylanders are going to have to make their own moral decisions regarding their own personal defense and the defense of their loved ones.

The sooner we recognize that, the better off we will be.

Myers described Nicholson as a warm and gentle person, saying that he was "well-liked even by those he arrested."

Not a group often known to endorse police officers. He sounded like a fine young man. God bless Officer Nicholson and his family.

“A Part of America Died”

Somebody killed a police officer today
and a part of America died.

A piece of our country he swore to protect
will be buried with him at his side.

Somebody killed a police officer today
it happened in your town and mine.

While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors
a cop put his life on the line.

Now his ghost has the beat
on a dark city street
and he stands at each rookie’s side.

A cop answered the call
of himself gave his all
and a part of America died.

Officer Christopher Shane Nicholson, you are out of service my brother, now RIP.
